39、be 3.8.2 Prong and clutch type. Prongs and clutches shall conform to the details and dimensions shown on Drawing B-13-12. 40、 made from nickel silver specified in 3.5.1 and shall be 5/16 inch plus or minus 1/64 inch in length. Clutches shall be made from any type brass. When tested as specified in 4.6.2 and 4.6.12, it shall not be possible to remove the clutch by hand without first depressing the release wings. 3.8.3 Scre
41、w post and thumb nut. The screwpost and thumb nut shall conform to the details and dimensions shown on figure 2. The screw post shall be soldered or fused in the location specified in the applicable specification sheet. When tested as specified in 4.6.9 the thumb nut shall not bind on the thread. Th

The registering prong shall be made from nickel silver specified in 3.5.1 and shall conform to the details and dimensions specified on figure 2. specified on the applicable specification sheet. in 4.6.3 and 4.6

The dry lacquer film shall be continuous, level, adherent and free from lint, dust or other foreign
48、matter. When tested as specified in 4.6.4.1, there shall be no change in appearance on the face of the item except a slight overall yellowing around the highlights. When tested as specified in 4.6.4.2, the tissue paper shall not adhere to the insignia when the pressure is released. 3.9.2 Silver plat
49、ing. Silver plating shall be accomplished by electroplating methods using the silver specified in 3.5.2. Prior to plating, the surface to be plated shall be cleaned of all matter which would affect the plating. Copper based alloy items shall be hot nickel underplated, a minimum of 0.00025 inch thick. nickel underplating shall be optional. underplated.
