EQUIREMENT 3.1 Standard shade sample. - When specified (see 6.2) a standard shade sample shall be furnished for matching color and colorfastness only. 3.2 First article.- When specified (see 6.2), before production is com- menced a sample of the furnished item shall be
10、submitted or made available to the contracting officer or his authorized representative for inspection and tests as specified in 4.2. commencement of production but does not relieve the manufacturer of responsi- bility for compliance with all applicable provisions of this specification. The first ar
11、ticle shall be manufactured in the same manner and by the same facilities to be used for the production items. The approval of the first article authorizes the 3,3 Materials.- Materials shall conform to the referenced specifications and the requirements specified herein. 3.3.1 - Felt.- The felt for
12、the shoulder loop shall conform to type III, class 7A1 of C-F-206. 3.3.1.1 Color and colorfastness.- The felt shall be Hunter Green conforming to Cable Number 70064 and shall show fastness to wet-dry cleaning, crocking and light equal to or better than the standard shade sample. no standard is avail
13、able the felt shall show good fastness to wet-dry cleaning, crocking and light for forty hours. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in the .1-

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging.- Packaging shall be level A or C, as specified (see 6.2). insgnia shall be packaged in a setup, paperboard box conforming to variety
35、 1, style III or IV type B, class A of PPP-B-676 or a folding paperbox conforming to variety 1, style III, type B, class A of PPP-B-566. shall be in accordance with the appendix of the applicable box specification. 5.1.1 Level A.- One hundred twenty five pair of Bhoulder loop Closure 5.1.2 Level C.-
36、 Shoulder loop insignia shall be packaged to afford protection against deterioration and damage during shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity. 5.2 Packing.- Packing shall be level A, B or C, as specified (see 6.2). 5.2.1 Level A.- Five thousand pair (40 intermediate boxes) o
37、f shoulder loop insignia packaged as specified in 5.1 shall be packed in a snug-fitting fiberboard shipping container confoming to Class Weather Resistant, V3s or V3c of PPP-B-636. Closure shall be in accordance with the appendix of the container specification. The weight of the contents of each shi
38、pping container shall not exceed the size and weight limitations of the container specification. 5.2.2 Level B.- Five thousand pair (40 intermediate boxes) of shoulder loop insignia packaged as specified in 5.1 shall be packed in snug-fitting fiberboard box conforming to class Domestic, grade 275 of
39、 PPP-B-636. Closure shall be in accordance with the appendix of the container specification. The weight of the contents of each shipping container shall not exceed the size and weight limitations of the container specification. 5.2.3 Level C.- Shoulder loop insignia shall be packed in containers whi
40、ch are acceptable by common or other carriers for safe transportation to point of destination specified in shipping instructions at the lowest trans- portation rate for such supplies. - - 5.3 Marking.- In addition to any special marking required by the contract or order, interior packages and exteri
41、or shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129, except the interior packages shall be marked with the contractors name and the contract or order number. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use.- Shoulder loop insignia covered by this specification are intended to be worn by Army personnel t
