13、 REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials andparts. Materials and parts shall be in accordance with the applicable drawings, specifications and standards. 3.2 Igniter. The igniter shall comply with all requirements specified on Drawing (Dwg.) 8822497, all associated drawings, and with all requirements specified o

14、n applicable specifications and standards. 3.3 Embrittlement of firing pin spring. The firing pin spring shall not break or fracture when pulled to the point of minimum permanent distortion when tested as specified in 4.5.1. 2 - -. The igniter shall be capable of holding the M700 Fuse in position in the igniter when a pull of 25 pounds, minimum, is applied to the M700 Fuse when tested as specified in 4.5.4.11. a 3.5

16、Waterproofness. The igniter shall be waterproof as evidenced by ignition of the M700 Fuse after being immersed in water at a depth of 31 plus or minus 1 inch, for a period of 6.5 plus or minus 0.5 hours. Testing shall be as specified in 4.5.6. 3.6 Functioning. The igniter shall ignite the M700 Fuse

17、when tested as specified in 4.5.5. 3.7 Quick Reset. The igniter shall be capable of quick resetting of the striker in the firing position when tested as specified in 4.5.7. 3.8 First article inspection. This specification contains technical provisions for first article inspection. the submission of

18、first article samples by the contractor shall be as specified in the contract. Requirements for 3.9 Workmanship. 3.9.1 Metal parts. All parts shall be fabricated and finished in a thorough, workmanlike manner, and all manufacturing, processing, and assembly operations shall be correctly performed. T

19、he parts shall be clean and free of burrs, cracks, sharp edges, unblended radii, surface defects, chips, dirt, grease and oil (except where specifically required), corrosion products, and other foreign matter. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts be contami

20、nated by the cleaning agents. Exterior surface coatings shall be continuous except for a few light scratches not exposing base material. markings shall be neat and sharply defined. 3.9.2 Molded parts. All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated and finished in a thorough workmanlike manner, and all

21、 manufacturing, processing, and assembly operations shall be correctly performed. They shall be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks, crazes, unblended radii, porosity, warpage, burn marks, checks, sinks, chipped edges, blisters, excess flash, dirt, grease, rust, salt deposits, visibly raised c

22、ement seams, corrosion products, and other defects and foreign matter which would affect their serviceability. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agents. All required markings shall be neat, legible and sharply defined. All

The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see 4.3). b. Quality conformance inspecti

The contractor shall submit a first article sample as designated by the Contracting Officer for evaluation in accordance with provisions of 4.3.2. I Quality conformance inspecti-. 4.4.1 Inspection lot formation. Inspection lots shall comply with the lot formation provisions of MIL-A-48078. In addition, each lot

34、shall contain: a. Parts of one lot interfix number from one manufacturer. b. Primer and base igniters: XM110, of one lot interfix number from one manufacturer.
