This specification covers CI filter unit installation kit. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 Government documents. The following documents of the issue in

6、contracting officer.) 2.2 Other publications. The following document forms a part of this specifi- cation to the extent specified herein. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials and components. 3.1.1 Materials. All rnaterial

All components of the installation kit shall conform to the specifications and drawings listed on Drawing DL5-19-1819 and subsidiary drawings. 3.2 Manufacture and assembly. All components of the installation kit shall be manufactured and assembled in accordance with

10、 their respective assembly drawings listed on Drawing DE-19-1819. Electrical components shall function properly and have electrical continuity, as applicable, when tested as specified in 4.6.1. 3.3 Workmanship. All metal parts of the installation kit shall be free of burrs and sharp edges and defect

11、s such as bent, broken, or cracked members. All rubber parts shall be smooth, of uniform thickness, and free of cuts, breaks, abrasions, and molding defects. Wiring shall be free of kinks and cuts, breaks, and abrasions of the insulating surface. All parts shall be free from foreign matter such as d

12、irt or grease. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Suppliers responsibility will be as specified in the contract or order. 4.2 Special provisions. 4.2.1 Alternative inspection. The supplier may utilize any alternative inspection procedure which will provide equal or be

13、tter assurance of quality by ,I submitting a written proposal with iustification and obtaining written approval from the Government prior to instifuting the procedure, In case of dispute, the procedures of this specification will govern. 4.2.2 Objective evidence. The suppl er shal I provide objectiv

14、e evidence acceptable to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and section 5 for which specific inspection has not been provided in this specification have been satisfied. 4.3 Lotting. A lot shall consist of the installation kits produced by one manu- facturer, at one plant, from the

15、same materials, under essentially the same manu- fac tur i ng condi ti ons . 4.4 Sampl ing for examination and nondestructive tests. Sample kits shall be examined and tested in accordance with the classification of defects and Standard MI L-STD-105. 4.5.2 Classification of defects. 4.5.2.1 Metal support assemblies. (Dwgs:

The electrical continuity of the cables and functioning of the circuit breaker and switch shall be determined using Edgewood Arsenal Test Lamp (Dwg 8136-52-60). 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY (For repair

22、 parts packaging, see 6.3) 5.1 Cleaning and drying. The components of the installation kit shall be cleaned and dried in conformance with Specification MIL-P-116. Cleaning process C-1 and any of the drying processes listed therein shall be used. 5.2 Preservation and packaging. Levels shall be as spe

The spring catch of the frame assembly shall be 6iled with type P-7 pres

24、ervative oil conforming to Specification MIL-P-116. The catch shall be actuated during application to assure penetration of the preservative oil. Excess oil shall be wiped off. 5.2.1 1.2 Shock mount assembly. The unpainted surfaces of the shock mount assembly shall be coated with type P-1 preservati

25、ve compound conforming to Specification MIL-P-116. 5.2.1.1.3 Bracket assembly. The bracket assembly shall be packaged in accordance with method 111 of Specification MIL-P-116. 5.2.1.1.4 Wire and cable assemblies. The ground wire assembly (Dwg 85-19-1663) and cable assembly (Dwg 85-19-1 768) shal I b

26、e packaged together in accordance with method IA-15 of Specification MIL-P-116. 5.2.1.1.5 Cable assembly. The cable assembly (Dwg 85-19-1767) shall be coiled to the minimum safe diamefer. The coiled cable assembly shall be secured in at least three places by tying with flat cotton tape and then pack

27、aging in accordance with method IA-15 of Specification MIL-P-I 16, 5.2.1 .l .6 Circuit breaker and switch assembly. This assembly shall be packaged in accordance with method IA-15 of Specification MIL-P-116. 5.2.1.1 .7 Miscellaneous metal items. No preservative shall be applied to nonferrous items,

28、except for aluminum. Ferrous items and aluminum items shall be coated with type P-7 preservative oil conforming to Specification MIL-P-116. Like items shall be placed together in non-heat sealable envelopes fabricated from grade A greaseproof barrier-material conforming to Specification MIL-B-121 .

29、The envelopes containing the miscellaneous metal items shall then be packaged together in accordance with method IC-2 of Specification MIL-P-116. 5.2.1.1.8 Miscellaneous non-metallic items. Like items shall be packaged together in accordance with method III of Specification MIL-P-116. i 6 Provided b

The components of the kit, preserved and unit packaged as specified in 5.2.1 .l, shall be intermediately packaged in a WC, style

31、 RSC fiberboard box conforming to Specification PPP-B-636. Internal cushioning and blocking shall be used as required to make a tight package. In addition to the closure and reinforcement requirements specified for interior boxes, the box corners, seams, and manufacturers joint shall be taped, excep

32、t that pressure sensitive tape conforming to Specification PPP-T-76 shal I be used. 5.2.2 Level C. The components of the installation kit shall be cleaned and dried as specified in 5.1 and preserved and packaged to afford adequate protection from the supply source to the first receiving activity for

33、 immediate use. 5.3 Packing. Levels shall be as specified (see 6.2). 5.3.1 Level A. The installation kits, packaged as specified in 5.2, shall be packed, not to exceed the weight limitations of the container, in an overseas type or class, style optional container conforming to Specification PPP-B-59

34、1, PPP-B-601 , or PPP-B-621; or in a VC, style RSC fiberboard box conforming to Specification PPP-B-636. Closure, strapping, or reinforcement of the container shall be in accordance with the requirements of the appl icable container specification and the appendix thereto. In addition to the closure

35、requirements specified in the appendix to Specification PPP-B-636, the seams, corners, and manufacturers joint shall be taped. Either the tape specified in Specification PPP-B-636 or tape conforming to Specification PPP-T-76 shall be used. All strapping or metal banding used- shall be galvanized. 5.

36、3.2 Level B. The installation kits, packaged as specified in 5.2, shall be packed as specified in 5.3.1, except that domestic type or class containers shall be used. In addition, all strapping or metal banding shall be coated- finished. 5.3.3 Level C. The installation kits, packaged as specified in

37、5.2, shall be packed to insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery at first destination for immediate use. Containers shal I be in accordance with Uniform Freight Classifica- tion rules or regulations of other carriers applicable to the mode of transportation. 5.4 Marking. in addition to any specia

38、l marking required by the contract or order, unit and intermediate packaging and shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with Standard MIL-STD-129. 39、This installation kit is used for installation of the M14 Filter Unit in Armored (APC) Ambulances. 6.2 Ordering data. 40、epair parts packaging is required for items authorized for stocking as repair parts, the repair parts packaging data sheets covering the applicable components of the M32 instal lation kit should be used.
