MIL-L-51292C ( EA) 3 0 REQUIRESIENTS 3.1 kterials and components. 3.1.1 Materials. All materials cited on Drawing 13-12-1 and on the subsid- iary dra

14、wings shall conform to the specifications thereon or to the specific characteristics set forth on the drawings. 3.1.2 Components. All components shall conform to the specifications and drawings listed on Drawing 13-12-1 and subsidiary drawings, as applicable. AN-M8 grenades produced more than 90 day

15、s prior to assembly into launchers shall be tested within 90 days prior to assembly into launchers and meet the functional requirements of MIL-G-12327. The 3.2 Assembly. The launcher shall be assembled as shown on Drawing 13-12-1. 3.3 Radiographic or fluoroscopic evaluation. The launcher shall be ra

16、dio- graphed or fluoroscoped for missing components, in accordance with 4.4.4.1. 3.4 Leakage. The launcher shall not leak air when submerged in water at a temperature of 170“ + 10“F, for a period of 30 to 35 seconds when tested in accordance with 4.4.6.2. 3.5 Functioning. The launcher shall eject th

17、e grenades to an average impact distance of 100 to 170 feet based on the average of the entire sample that functioned. 22、l be free from foreign matter and damage which could affect functioning . 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified h

23、erein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements speci- fied herein, unless disapproved by the Government. right to perfom any of the inspections set forth in the

24、 specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and s.ervices conform to prescribed requirement s. The Government reserves the 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items must meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification s

25、hall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with

26、all require- ments of the contract. Sampling in quality conformance does not authorize sub- mission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to acceptance of defective material. 4.1.2 Objective evidence. The contractor shall provide objective evidenc

27、e acceptable to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and section 5 for which specific inspection has not been provided in this specification have been satisfied. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: (a) (b) Preprod

28、uction inspection ( see 4 . 3) . Quality conformance inspection (see 4,4) . 4.3 Preproduction inspection 4.3.1 Sample. A preproduction sample of 30 launchers shall be manufactured using the same methods, materials, equipment and processes as will be used dur- ing regular production. 4.302 Inspection

29、 procedures. 4.3.2.1 For examination. The preproduction sample launchers shall be exam- ined in accordance with the classification of defects, the AQLs are not applica- ble . 4.3.2.2 For destructive test. The launcher shall be placed in a cold chamber at the specified temperature for the required period of time, and fired 5 to 6 minutes aft;er remov

32、al from the chamber, or insulated transport container. 4.3.3.2 High temperature. The launcher shall be placed in a hot chamber at the specified temperature for the required period of time and fired 5 to 6 minutes after removal from the chamber, or insulated transport container. 4.3.3.3 Water immersi

33、on. The launcher shall be submerged in water to a depth of 6 to 7 inches, at the specified temperature for the required period of time and then stored for the required period of time. 4.3.4 Rejection. If any assembly, component, or test specimen fails to comply with any of the applicable requirement

Sam- pling shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.4.2.2 For destructive test. Sampling shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, level S-3, and an AQL of 4.0, and shall b

38、e taken from the Sam.- ple used for examination (see 4.4.2.1). 4.4.3 Inspection procedure. 4.4.3.1 For examination. Sample launchers and the packaging thereof shall be examined in accordance with the classification of defects and MIL-STD-105. 4.4.3.2 For leakage. Each launcher in the lot shall be te

39、sted in accordance with 4.4.4.2. 4.4.3.3 For destructive test. Sample launchers shall be tested in accor- dance with table II and MIL-STD-105, with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective with the following exceptions : (a) Grenade dud. Launcher sample size of 13: accept 3, reject 4. Launcher sample size of

40、 20: accept 4, reject 5. (b) Any launcher lot sample which fails to eject the grenades to an average impact distance of 100 to 170 feet shall be cause for rejection. (c) Any launcher lot sample which has a grenade that impacts at a 1 distance of less than 80 feet shall be cause for rejection. TABLE
