13、ENTS 3.1 Description. The glide-angle light shall be in accordance with Top Assembly TAl3205E3560 and as specified herein. 3.1.1 Drawings. The drawings forming. a part of this specification are end product drawings. tolerances is permissible without prior approval o f the contracting officer. the co

14、ntractor shall provide tolerances within those prescribed on the drawings to insure correct fit, assembly, and operation of the airport approach glide-angle light. Any data (e,g. , shop drawings, layouts, flow sheets, processing procedures, etc.) prepared by the contractor or obtained from a vendor

15、to support fabrication and manufacture of the production item shall be made available, upon request, for inspection by the contracting officer or his designated representative. The electrical circuitry, includ- ing all components and connections, except as specified below, shall be protected from the effects of fungus growth and

25、 moisture by an overall treatment with a varnish conforming to MIL-V-173, Composition I or II, as applicable (see 3.7.1), with 1 percent copper 8-quinolinolate (by weight) based on the nonvolatile content of the varnish: (a) Components or circuit elements that are inherently fungus and moisture resi

26、stant or which are hermetically sealed need not be treated. Components or circuit elements whose functions will be adversely affected by the varnish coating shall not be treated, (b) When used, the varnish shall be applied by spray, brush, or a combination of both to give a dry-film thickness of not

27、 less than 1 mil to component or element surfaces previously cleaned and prepared so that the surfaces are free from all foreign matter which would interfere with the adherence or function of the varnish. 3.7.1 Composition. Composition II shall be used only in the case when local air pollution regul

28、ations governing the application of varnish precludes the use of composition I. When Composition II is used, the contractor shall provide evidence to the Government that the use of Com- position II is required, and shall certify that the Composition II material complies with Rule 66, Air Pollution C

29、ontrol District, County of Los Angeles, CA. 3.8 Identification markings. The identification markings shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-130 and as specified on the drawings. 3.9 Workmanship. Metal used in fabrication shall be free from kinks and sharp bends, that will not cause injury to the materi

Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspec- tion requirements Specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the 5 I -

34、ent. the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. The Government reserves ! 4.1.1 Disassembly inspection, Failure of any examination or tests by the preproduc

35、tion model shall be cause for disassembly, in the presence of a Government: representative, of the preproduction model to the extent necessary to determine the cause of failure. Each disassembled part shall be examined in detail for compliance with this specification and referenced drawings in regar

36、d to materials, dimensions, tolerances, and workmanship. Parts not complying with such requirements shall be rejected and shall be cause ?or rejection of the preproduction model, replacement parts and retesting shall be the responsibility of the con- tractor. Reassembly with 4.1.2 Parts and componen

37、ts. Parts and components detailed on the drawings shall be inspected in accordance with the Supplementary Quality Assurance Provisions (SQAP) shown on the drawings. The drawings specify the characteristics requiring SQAP inspection, the sampling plan, and the basis for acceptance and rejection (see

38、6.5 and 6.6). for insuring Fhat components and materials used are manufactured, examined, and tested In accordance with referenced specifications and standards. 4.2 Classification of inspections, The inspection requirements speci- fied herein are classified as follows: I (a) Preproduction inspection

41、4.4 Quality conformance inspection. 4.4.1 Samping. Sampling for examination and tests shall be in accord- ance with MIL-STD-105 Inspection Level I. 4.4.2 Examination. Samples selected in accordance with 4.4.1 shall be examined for major and minor defects specified in 4.5.1, AQL shall be 6.5 percent

42、defective for major defects and 10 percent defective for minor defects 4.4.3 Tests. 4.4.3.1 Individual. Each glide-angle light shall be tested as speci- fied in 4.5.2.2. Failure of the test shallbe cause for rejection, 4.4.3.2 Samples. Samples selected in accordance with 4.4.1 shall be tested as spe

43、cified in 4.5.2.3, 4.5.2.4, 4.5.2.5, and 4.5.2.6, AQL shall be 2.5 percent defective. 4.5 Inspection procedure. 4.5.1 Examination. The glide-angle light shall be examined as speci- fied herein for the following defects: Major 101. 102. Parts or components missing. 103. 104. 105. 106. Workmanship not

A level vial containing the test Ifquid shall be placed in a cold chamber having an ambient temperature sf rnfnus 50 P at the end of 24 hours, the liquid in the vial shall be exanihed for evidence of freezing. The vial s

47、hall then be placed in a room or chaiber with an ambient temperature of 100 F. 3 hours , the liquid in the vial shall be examined for evidence of expansion beyond the limiting marks on the vial. or expansion beyond the limiting marks shall constitute failure of this test.
