It is encouraged that recycled material be used when practical as long as it meets the requirements of t
13、his specification. 3.3 Midsole. The midsoles shall be canposed of fibrillated leather bonded together with an elastomeric binder so as to conform to the requirements of this specification. 3.4 Size. When the midsoles are purchased directly by the Government, the size shall be as specified (see 6.2)
14、and the periphery of the midsoles shall be not less than the periphery of the applicable Goverrmnt pattern. Wen the midsoles are purchased as a canponent for use in a footwear specification referencing this specification, the periphery of the midsoles shall be not less than the periphery of the outs
15、oles required in the footwxr specifica- tion that references this specification. 3.5 Physical reauirements. 3.5.1 Color. The color of the midsoles shall be tan. 3.5.2 Thickness. 22、on. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his awn or any othe
23、r facilities suitable for the perfom- ance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and ser
