In the event of a conflict between the text Nothing in this document, 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article sample. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), a first article s

13、ample shall meet all the requirements of this specification. 3.2 Material. - 3.2.1 Composition. The material shall be a pre-mix consisting of a glass reinforcement impregnated with an epoxy resin system (see 4.5.4.1). 3.2.1.1 Reinforcement. The reinforcement shall meet the requirements of MIL-R-6034

14、6, Type I, K-37 Glass, Class 1, except that it shall be chopped. Reinforcement shall consist of 50 + 5% by weight of 0.250 + 0.062 inch long fibers and 50 + 5% by weight of 0.125 + 0.062 inch long fibers (see 4.5.4). - - 3.2.1.2 Resin system. The resin system shall consist of epoxy resin conforming

15、to MIL-R-9300, Type I, Grade O, Form A, modified with a suitable elastomer (see 4.5.4.4). manufacturer shall be capable of meeting the requirements specified herein after storage at a maximum temperature of + 4.4 Celsius for not less than 90 days (see 4.5.4.2). 3.2.2 Storage life. 21、h as to ensure a product which is uniform and in accordance with this specification. All material shall be free of dirt, foreign matter, or other contaminates (see 4.7). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, t

22、he contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherw,se specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection require

23、ments specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 Responsibility for c

24、ompliance. All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requirements, however, this does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accept de

27、fective material. Test paragraph 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see 3.1 and 6.2) b. Quality conformance inspection (see 4.3). 4.2.1 First article inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the con

28、tractual document (see 6.21, a sample consisting of not less than 10 lbs. of the material, manufactured under the same conditions as those specified for subsequent production, shall be subjected to first article inspection. Accomplishment of first article inspection shall be as specified herein. If

29、the first article sample does not meet the requirements of this specification, it shall be rejected. Subsequent units shall not be considered for acceptance until Government approval of the first article sample has been obtained. Testing of the first article sample, to determine compliance with the

30、characteristics listed in Table IV shall be in accordance with the corresponding test paragraphs. TABLE IV. First article inspection. Sampling for quality conformance inspection shall be conducted on a random sample selected from each production lo

Quality conformance inspection of the sample specified in 4.3.1, to determine compliance with characteristics specified in Table VI, shall be conducted in accordance with the corresponding te

The inspection equipment used in conducting evaluation and tests shall be as specified in the applicable test methods and procedures paragraphs (see table VI). 4.5 Test methods and

37、 procedures. 4.5.1 Test conditions. Unless otherwise specified herein, the following conditions shall be used as a basis to establish performance requirements. a. Test sequence within each classification of inspection shall be at the option of the supplier. 4.5.3 Test specimen preparation. The type a

At the end of 4.5.4.3 Compressive properties. The ultimate strength and modulus of elasticity of the material in compression shall
