In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein (except for detail associated specification sheets or MS standards), the text of this specifica

13、tion shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3,l Item Definition. Mount MT-6232/GRC-l93A9 including mounting rack with special cables, shall provide a means of mounti

14、ng 400 watt HF Radio Set AN/GRC-l93A in a wheeled vehicle. Mount MT-6233/GRC-l93A, including mounting tray with special cables, shall provide a means of mounting Radio Set AN/GRC-l93A in a tracked vehicle. The mounts shall reduce shock and vibration levels to the AN/GRC-l93A sufficiently such that n

15、o degradation of specified performance of the individual components of the AN/GRC-l93A shall result. The intended use includes, but is not limited to M151A2 utility jeep; M561 (Gamma Goat) truck; M882 truck, and M113 and M577 armored personnel carrier, which operate in all types of weather and terra

17、 IHS-,-,-MIL-M-49272 (CR) 3.2 Characteristics. 3 .2.1 Perf o rmance . 3.2.2 Electrical Requirements. The following electrical tests shall be performed to determine the effectiveness of the mounting (with isolators) in reducing vehicular shock and vibration levels presented to the individual componen

18、ts of the AN/GRC-l93A, such that no degradation of specified system performance shall result. When testing the effectiveness of the mounting in accordance with 4.6.3, the following additional requirements shall be met. 3.2.2.1 Input Power. With primary input power of 28 VDC nominal, conforming to MI

19、L-STD-1275, input power to the RT-1209( )/URC (part of AN/PRC-l04A) shall be 24 2 .5V. 3.2.2.2 Output: Power. RF power output into a 50 ohm resistive load shall be 400W 1 dB CW or PEP. 3.2.2.3 Hum and Ripple. Hum and ripple shall be at least 40 dB below the output level of a single tone modulating t

20、he transmitter to rated peak envelope power over the frequency range of 2.0000 to 29.9999 MHz. 3.2.2.4 Receives Sensim. The output signal-plus-noise-plus-distortion to noise-plus-diseortgon ratio shall be at least 10 dB when a radio frequency (RF) signal of 1.4uV open circuit from a 50 ohm source is

21、 applied to the receiver input terminals for a 2.0000 to 29.9999 MHz range. 3.2.3 Service ComcJitions. The equipment shall meet the following service conditions. 3.2.3.1 Low Temprature. (MT-6233/GRC-l93A only). Mounting MT-6233/GRC-193AJ when loaded by the components of the AN/GRC-l93A or equivalent

22、 dummy load, shall withstand exposure to ambient air temperatures as low as -51C (-60“F), when teated in accordance with 4.6.3.1. Verification shall be by inspection. (This test may be omitted if the shock/vibration isolators used in the mounting have beea tested and approved for military applicatio

23、ns). 3.2.3.2. High Temperature. (MT-6233/GRC-l93A only). Mounting MT-6233/GRC-l93A, when loaded by the components of the AN/GRC-l93A or equivalent dumy load, shall withstand exposure to ambient air temperatures as high as +68.3C (+155F) when tested in accordance with 4.6.3.2. Verification shall be b

25、ut license from IHS-,-,-3.2.3.3 Humidity. The equipment shall withstand prolonged exposure to extreme high humidity levels as encountered in tropical areas without physical damage. There shall be no deterioration or corrosion of finishes or metals when tested in accordance with-4.6.3.3. Such corrosi

26、on shall be defined as any visible degradation of the equipment surfaces that can be attributed to flaky, pitted, blistered, or otherwise loosened finish or metal surface. 3.2.3.4 Dust (Fine Sand). The mounting shall show no evidence of damage or abrasion or clogging when tested in accordance with 4

27、.6.3.4. 3.2.3.5 Salt Fog. The equipment shall be resistant to the corrosive effects of a salt fog atmosphere when tested in accordance with 4.6.3.5. There shall be no corrosion of finishes or metals. Such corrosion shall be defined as any visible degradation of the equipment surfaces that can be att

28、ributed to flaky, pitted, blistered, or otherwise loosened finish or metal surfaces. There shall also be no clogging or binding of moving mechanical parts. 3.2.3.6 Vibration and Shock. The equipment shall withstand vibration and shock induced during vehicular transport upon military vehicles, over a

29、ll types of roads and cross-country terrain. Mounting MT-6233/GRC-l93A only: In addition, Mounting MT-62331GRC-193A shall be resistant to high level shock caused by ballistic impact, air explosions, and similar combat field conditions. 3.2.3.6.1 MT-62321GRC-193A. Mounting MT-62321GRC-193A shall be t

30、ested for vibration in accordance with 4.6.3.6.1. There shall be no damage to the mounting or to the radio, and there shall be no degradation in performance of the radio to the requirements of 3.2.2, during or after the completion of the vibration test. 3.2.3.6.2 MT-62331GRC-193A. Mounting MT-6233IG

31、RC-193A shall be tested for vibration in accordance with 4.6.3.6.2. There shall be no damage to the mounting or to the radio, and there shall be no degradation in performance of the radio when tested to the requirements of 3.2.2, during or after the completion of the vibration test. 3.2.3.6.3 MT-623

32、2/GRC-193Ac Mounting MT-62321GRC-193A shall be tested in accordance with 4.6.3.7.1. The equipment shall not come loose from its mounts as a result of the CRASH HAZARD shock test. 3.2.3.6.4 MT-62321GRC-193A. Mounting MT-6232/GRC-l93A when tested in accordance with 4.6.3.7.2 shall exhibit no visible d

34、license from IHS-,-,-MIL-M-49272 (CR) 3.2.3.6.5 MT-6233/GRC-193A0 Mounting MT-6233/GRC-l93A, shall be tested in accordance with 4.6.3.7.3 for ballistic shock. There shall be no damage to the mounting or to the radio, and there shall be no degradation in performance of the radio to the requirements o

35、f 3.2.2 after the completion of the ballistic tee ts . 3.2.3.7 Fungus. The equipment (including accessories), in the assembled-and-ready-for delivery condition, shall provide no nutrients in material, coating or contaminant form or support fungal growth when tested in accordance with paragraph 4.6.3

36、.8, Only inherently fungus resistant grades of materials per requirement 4, MIL-STD-454 shall be used. After 28 days, based on visual examination, the equipment or samples shall show no more than sparse microbial growth with restricted tuberal growth development in an area 10% or less of the total a

37、rea and no more than six unrelated minute colonies. The equipment shall fail if it shows more than the growth specified above. 3.3 Design and Construction. 3.3.1 Production Drawings. These mounting bases MT-62321GRC-193A and MT-6233/GRC-l93A shall be fabricated and assembled in accordance with the d

38、rawings and other documents listed herein (2.1). 3.3.2 Workmanship. Workmanship shall be in accordance with Requirement 9 of MIL-STD-454 3.3.2.1, Mechanical Dimensions. The mounting shall be so dimensioned as to permit nomial attachment of applicable components.of the AN/GRC-l93A made to present equ

39、ipment drawing tolerances, without modification of such components or mounting and shall be inspected in accordance with paragraph 4.4.3.1. No modification shall be permitted to the mounting for proper attachment to the vehic 1 e . 3.3.2.2. rounded sufficiently to insure personnel safety. Edge Round

40、ing. All exposed edges, projections, and corners shall be 3.3.2.3 Parts, Materials, and Processes. In addition to the requirements of this specification, the requirements of MIL-P-11268, including the selection requirements therein, shall apply. 3.3.2.4 Finish. The mountings shall be finished in acc

41、ordance with MIL-C-46168(ME) Type-2, Forest Green and the equipment drawings, This includes finish of hardware, such as handles, hinges, screws, with necessary touch-up after mounting and testing. Pretreatment film on all exterior surfaces shall be per MIL-F-14072C with Primer per MIL-P-23377. 3.3.2

42、.5 Marking. Marking shall conform to Requirement 67 of MIL-STD-454. 3.3.2.5.1 Visibility. Wherever practicable, identification markings will be readily visible with minimum disassembly of the equipment. 3.3.2.5.2 Serial Numbers. Human engineering shall conform to Requirement 62 of MIL-STD-

44、454. 3.3.4 Safety Engineering (see 4.8). 3.3.4.1 Personnel Hazard. Personnel hazards shall be kept to a minimum in accordance with Requirement 1 of MIL-STD-454. 3.4 First Article Samples. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, and prior to submission of any complete production

45、 items for acceptance, the contractor shall furnish first article samples for determination of conformance to this specification. Examinations and tests shall be those specified herein. Approval of the first article samples by the procuring activity shall not relieve the contractor of his obligation

46、 to supply mounts conforming to this specification. Any changes or deviations of the production items from the first articles shall be subject to the approval of the contracting officer. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or

47、 purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements speci

48、fied herein, subject to approval by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements 4.1.1 Responsibility for Complian

49、ce. All items must meet all requirements of Sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. known de-fective mat
