REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials.- The materials shall be in accordance with the draw- ings, mat
9、erial specifications and general specifications forming a part of this specification. 3.2 Fabrication.- The periscope shall be manufactured in accordance with Drawing F8213369 and drawings pertaining thereto, The following shall have met their respective specifications (except that they need not be
10、subjected to separate vibration tests) and be interchangeable within . the requirements of this specification. 11、all meet the requirements of 3.6.2, 3.6.5, 3.6.6,3.6.6.1 and 3.6.8 without need for realignment of components or selection of modules listed in 3.2. After insertion, the periscope shall be capable of being firmly secured and subsequently removed. 3.3 General specification.
13、- The contractor shall be responsible or ad- herence to, and compliance with the following requirements of MIL-F-13926, a. Order of precedence b. Dimensions and tolerances c. Inorganic protective surface finishes d. Part identification and marking e. Workmanship 3.4 Vibration.- This requirement shal
14、l be met with the image converter tube and reticle projector lamp energized by the application of +24 i? 6.0 vdc to the contact for the IR power supply and the reticle projector lamp (Refer- ence Drawing F10541950). The periscope shall be vibrated in a vertical plane at a constant frequency of 30 cy
15、cles per second (cps) with an amplitude of 1/6 inch (118 inch total excursion) for a period of 5 minutes plus or minus 15 seconds. There shall be no failure or flicker of light emission from the image converter tube and reticle projector lamp during vibration and the periscope shall show no evidence
16、 of physical faililre subsequent to vibration. Following the vibration test the periscope shall meet all remaining requirements and then each module (see 3.2) shall meet their own respective post vibration test requirements. 3.5 Cleanliness. - With the periscope disassembled , the three modular unit
17、s shall meet the following requirements: a. Defects.- There shall be no evidence of moisutre, grease, fing- erprints, condensates fractures, and adhesive separations on any glass compon- ent when viewing through either end of each module. b. Dirt. - (i) Body assembly (daylight) .- When viewed throug
18、h the eye- piece, there shall be no more than three dirt particles appearing within a 50 mil diameter central field of view. There shall be no more than three dirt particles appearing outside the specified field of view. The angul- ar separation between dirt particles shall be at least 15 mils. Dirt
19、y parti- cles smaller than 114 reticle line width shall be ignored regardless of dis- tribution. The size of any particle shall not exceed the apparent width of the reticle line. (2) Body assembly (infrared) .- When viewing through the eye- piece with the image converter tube energized, there shall
20、be no more than five (5) particles visible on the screen surface. The size of any particle shall not exceed the apparent width of the reticle line. (3) Head assembly.- There shall be no more than three particles of dirt or foreign material (classed as dirt) on any glass compon- ent. The size of any
21、dirt particle shall not exceed 0.05 inch. 25、olution of target (1200 meters) image, 3,6.2 Parallax.- Parallax between the reticle and the image of a target at 1200 meters shall not exceed 0.1 mil when adjusted by Eccentric 10516549 on the daylight body assembly. 3.6.3 Collimation.- The following collimation requirements shall be established pr
26、ior to meeting the vibration requirements of 3.4: a. An incident line of sight which is originally perpendicular within 0.2 mil to Datum Plane “W“. b. The input coupling positioned in accordance with 3.6.lb. 3.6.3.1 Infrared reticle setting.- Rotate infrared boresight knobs to establish coincidence
27、of the boresight cross with the incoming line of sight (see 3.6.3a) prior to meeting the requirements of 3.4. 3,6.3.1.1 Daylight viewing area.- An incident line of sight which is originally perpendicular to Datum Plane “IJ“ shall coincide within O. 2 mil, with the image of an infinity target point w

Elevation knob travel.- The bore
29、sight knob shall provide a minimum travel of 6.5 mils in elevation and depression from the collimated setting of 3.6.3a. b. Deflection knob travel.- The boresight knob shall. provide a minimum trave of 6.5 mils in each direction from the collimated setting of 3.6.3a. c. Line of sight variation.- Var
30、iation in the line of sight in elevation, as the deflection knob is rotated by at least 6.5 mils in each direction rom the collimated setting of 3,6.3a shall not exceed 0.1 mil (total variation not to exceed 0.2 mil). 3.6.3.2 Post vibration collimation.- The original collimation settings established
31、 in 3.6.3,l and 3.6.3.1.1 shall not deviate more than 0.2 mil (including fixture error) as observed through eyepiece sub- sequent to meeting requirements of 3.4. 3.6.4 Collimation repeatability. 3.6.4.1 Assembling daylight and infrared bodies to head assembly.- Each body assembly shall be capable of
32、 repeating an original line of sight within 0.20 mil when removed and reinstalled (a minimum of 3 times) into the head assembly. 3.6.5 Image tilt - daylight and infrared.- The image of a target line which is originally parallel to Datum Plane “Y“ shall emerge from the eyepiece parallel to this same
33、surface within 2.0 degrees of arc, 3.6.6 Parallelism of reticle and image, infrared.- The image of a target line originally parallel to Datum Plane “Y“ shall be parallel to the horizontal reticle line within 2.0 degrees of arc. 3.6.6.1 Parallelism of target image and projected image.- The image of a
34、 target line which is originally parallel to Datum Plane “Y“ and perpendicular to Datum Plane %I shall emerge from the eyepiece parallel to Datum Plane “Y“ within 1.0 degrees of arc to the image of an infinity target line projected into Lens 8289292 which is originally parallel to Datum Plane “Y and
35、 perpendicular to Datum Plane W“. 3,6.7 Objective focusing range. 3.6.7,l Daylight.- Rotation of Eccentric 10516549 shall cause the objective assembly to travel a minimum of 0.010 inch in each direction from the position established in 3.-6.2 3.6,7.2 Infrared.- Kotation of King 8620059 shall cause t

37、l not exceed 0.25 diopter. The resolution shall be 8,O seconds of arc or 3,6,8.2 Infrared.- The resolution shall be 1 minute of arc or less in all four meridians. Eyepie.ce focus shift between any two meridians shall not exceed 0.25 diopter. 3.6.9 Electrical characteristic - infrared. 3.6,9,1 Image
38、converter tube.- The image converter tube shall be energized by the application of +24 k6.0 vdc to the contact: for the IR Power Supply (Ref o Dwg FlOS41950) e 3,6,9,2 Image steadiness.- There shall be no visible flicker, no movement of the image nor audible sparking when observed for 1 minute. This
39、 observation shall be made after the expiration of 15 seconds tube s tab i 1 iza t ion t ime 3.6,9,3 Reticle illumination.- With a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 30 volts applied to the contact for the reticle lamp (Ref Dwg F10541950) the reticle ma.rking shall be visible when viewing through the ey
40、epiece with the image tube energized (see 3 y 6 e 9. i. 3.6.10 Operability, focusing lock.- This requirement shall be met with a 40 ounce inches (oz-in.) torque applied to the locking screw on Clamp 10516556. There shall be no rotation of Eccentric 10516549 when 48 oz-in, torque is applied to the ec
41、centric. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. - Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the per- formance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize hi
42、s own facilities or any other facilities suitable or the performance o the inspection require- ments specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Govern- ment reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessar
43、y to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4-1.1 General provisions.- The component and subassembly inspection requirements of MIL-F-13926 form a part of the quality assurance provisions of this specification, Definitions of inspection terms shall be as listed in MIL-STD-1

46、roduction, 4.2.1 Government testing. - When the Government is responsible for conducting first article approval tests, the contractor, prior to sub- mitting the sample to the Government, shall inspect the sample to insure that it conforms to all the requirements of the contract and submit a record o
47、f this inspection with the sample, including certificates of conformance for materials. 4.2.2 Contractor testin%.- When the contractor is responsible for conducting first article approval tests, the sample shall be inspected by the contractor for all the requirements of the contract, The sample and
48、a record of this inspection, including certificates of conformance for materials, shall be submitted to the Government for approval, The Govern- ment reserves the right to witness the contractors inspection. 4.3 Inspection provisi=. 4.3.1.1 Submission of product.- Unless otherwise specified by the c
49、ontracting officer, inspection lot size, lot formation and presentation of lots shall be in accordance with “Submission of Product“ provisions of MIL-STD-105. 4,3.2.1 Components and subassemblies e - All components and sub- assemblies shall be inspected in accordance with the inspection provisions contained in Supplementary Quality Assurance Provisions (SQAP listed in the technical data package (TDP).
