All materials cited on Drawing DL31-15-1197 or on subsidiary drawings shall conform to the specifications listed thereon or to the specific characteristics set forth on the drawings. 3.1.
10、2 Components. All components of the pump shall conform to the specifications and drawings listed on Drawing Dm1-15-1197 and sub- sidiary drawings . 3.2 Assenibly. The pmnp shall be assembled as sham on Drawing E31-15 -ii97. 3.3 Leakage. The pump assembly shall not leak air when subjected to an inter
11、nal pressure of 25 f 10 secands when tested in accordance with 4.4.4.1. . The pump assembly shall deliver a minimum of 55 of fog oil when operated at a test pressure of shall operate freely an continuously (that is, without stopping or stalling) at test pressure for i5 with fog oil being emitted fro

Prior to the start of regular production, a preproduction sample of pumps shall be produced for examination and test in accordance with 4.3. 3.7 Workmanship. The pump and components shall be free from damage which could affect its intended use.
14、4. QUALZPY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. 4.1.1 Suppliers responsibility. The Government reserves the right to perfom any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to specified requirements. 4.1.2 Objective evidence . The supplier shall provide objective evid
17、ence acceptable to the ccutracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 for which specific inspection has not been providedin this specification have been satisfied. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements speci- fied herein are classified as follows: a) Preproduction inspecti
18、on (see 4.3) t b) Quality conformance inspection (see 4.4) 4.3 Preproduction inspection. 4.3.1 Sample. using the same methods, materials, and equipment that will be used in regular production. A preproduction sample of two pumps shall be produced 4.3.2 Inspection procedure. The pumps shall be tested
19、 in accordance with 4.4.b.1, 4.4.42 and 4.4.4.3. 4.3.3 Acceptance/re Section criteria. The preproduction pumps shall meet all the tests of this specification to be acceptable. shall obtain written approval from the contracting officer prior to starting regular production. The oil inlet hose shall contain a suitable sedi- ment strainer. The oil outlet hose shall contain a metering

32、 specified intervals. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging and packing. All packaging and packing shall be of the minimum cube required to contain the items. 5.2 Cleaning and dryl. Before the appucation of any preservative, all surfaces to which a preservative is to be applied shall be cleaned

All internal surfaces of the pump, including inteAal surfaces of the air chamber, shall be flushed with type P-10, type
35、I, grade 30 preservative oil conforming to MIL-L-UO, actuating the pump during this operation to insure that all internal surfaces and operating mechanisms have been coated. Threads of drain plugs shall be coated with the same type of oil and the plugs replaced and tightened. Openings into the inter
36、ior of the pump shall be covered with metal or plastic caps or plugs. Prior to the threaded openings being covered, the threaded surfaces shall be coated with type P-2 preservative compound conforming to MIL-P-. conforming to MIL-C-17504. All excess oil shall be drained. . Nameplates shall be coated
37、 with a clear acrylic coating compound 5.3.1.3 Unit packaginq. pon completion of pump preservation, the pumps shall be individually packaged within a fiberboard box conforming to ESC1 type CF, class weather-resistant variety SU,. grade 275 of PPP-B-636. fiberboard blocking fabricated from material c

The boxes shall be closed in accordance with the appendix to PPP-B- for exterior boxes. addition, all seams of the outer box, including the manufacturers joint, shall be sealed in accordance with the appendix of PPP-B-. shal

The pump shall be cleaned and dried as specified in 5.1 and preserved in accordance with the manufacturers commercial practice. 5.4 Packing. kvels shall be as specified (s

Pumps, unit packaged as specified in 5.3, shall be packed not to exceed the gross weight limitations in snug-fitting, overseas-type containers conforming to PPP-1-585, PPP-B-591, PPP-B-601, or PPP-B-621 The boxes shall be closed and strapped in accordance with the applicable
41、container specification and the appendix thereto, using galvanized strapping. The wood boxes or wood parts thereof shall be treated with water repellent wood preservative conforming to composition A of TT-W-572. 5.4.2 Ievel B,. hmips, unit packaged as specified in 5.3.1, may be shipped as individual
42、 units without further packing. to ship two or more pumps in one shipping container, the pumps shall be packed a6 specified in 5.4.1 except that domestic-type containers shall be used, but water-repellent wood preservative treatment is not required.
