13、ins technical-provisions for first article inspection. Requirements for the submission of first article samples by the contractor shall be as specified in the contract. and loaded in a thorough, workmanlike manner. They shall be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, dents, punctures, cracks, surface de

14、fects, dirt, grease, rust, corrosion products and other foreign matter. The cleaning method used shall not be ir,juricus to any part, nor shttll the parts be contaminated by the cleaning a.gent. All required markings ahIl be neat and sharply defined. All packing components shall be dry. 3.7 Workmans

All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated 4, QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4-1 Responsibility for inspection and standard ouali9 -A- assurance provisions. - Unless otherwise specifies herein or in the contract, the provisions, of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this deta

16、il specification. 4.2 Classification - cf inspections. - The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see 4.3). b. Testing is described in the First Article and 4.4.4 Inspection equipment. The inspe

22、ction equipment required Quality Conformance Inspection Tables. tc perform the inspections and tests prescribed in this specification is identified in the “Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method“ column in the tables starting with paragraph 4.4.2.1, and the test method paragraph (See 4.5). The contra

23、ctor shall submit for approval inspecticn equipment designs in accordance with the terms of the contract. See Section 6 of MIL-A-48078 and 6.3 herein. * 4.5.1. Sensitivity. The primer assemblies shall be conditioned at a temperature cf seventy-five (75) plus or ninus five (5) degrees Fahrenheit (F.)

24、 for twenty-fcur (24) hours min. prior to performing this test. - The san-,ple c.f seven-hundred (700) primer assemblies shall be eivided into groups of 50 primers each. A group shall be selected, and each primer in the grcup shall be assembled. in the test fixture specified in 44.4, and tested by d

25、ropping a steel ball weighing 1.94 plus or minus .O2 ounces on the firing pin from a height of three and one-half (3.5) inches. The rop heightis nieasure as the 6stance from the bottom of the ball to the tcp of the firing pin. The nuEber of primers that fire, or exhibit a firing failure shall be rec

26、orded. This prccechre shclll be repeated at successively increasing heights of one-half (0.5) inch using a new group of 50 primers at each height urtil a height is reached at which all primers fire in the grcup being tested. The test fixture shall then be set at P height of three (3) inches and the
