This specification covers the general requirements for established reliability (ER) andnonestablished reliability (non-ER) fixed, radio frequency, molded coils. Established reliability radiofrequency coils covered by this specification have failure rate level

3、s (FRL) ranging from 1.0 percent per1,000 hours to 0.001 percent per 1,000 hours which are established at a 60 percent confidence level (see1.2.1.4). The FRL identified by the applicable symbol specified in table III refers to operation at full loadcyclic condition at the specified ambient temperatu

4、re (see 3.1).1.2 Classification .1.2.1 Part or Identifying Number (PIN) . Bare base metal where the solder dip failed to cov

18、er the original coating is anindication of poor solderability, and shall be cause for failure. In case of dispute, the percent of coveragewith pinholes or rough spots shall be determined by actual measurement of these areas, as compared tothe total area. Electrical connections shall be mechanically

19、secure before soldering and electricallycontinuous after soldering.3.17 Resistance to solvents (nonlaser marked units only) . When coils are tested as specified in4.8.13, there shall be no evidence of mechanical damage and the marking shall remain legible.3.18 Flammability . When coils are tested as

20、 specified in 4.8.14, there shall be no evidence of violentburning which results in an explosive -type fire, and the coating material used on the coils shall beself -extinguishing (see 6.4). A coil shall not be considered to have failed in the event that it is consumedby the applied flame. A coil sh

21、all be considered to have failed only if an explosion or dripping of flamingmaterial occurs, an explosive -type flame is produced, or if visible burning continues beyond theallowable duration of 3 minutes after removal of the applied flame.3.19 Low temperature storage . When coils are tested as spec

22、ified in 4.8.15, there shall be noimpairment of protective coating, no loosening of the windings or terminals, nor any other evidence ofmechanical damage.3.20 Vibration . When coils are tested as specified in 4.8.16 there shall be no winding discontinuity(see 3.11), nor evidence of physical or mecha

23、nical damage.3.21 Shock (specified pulse) . When coils are tested as specified in 4.8.17, there shall be no windingdiscontinuity (see 3.11), nor evidence of physical or mechanical damage.3.22 Moisture resistance . When coils are tested as specified in 4.8.18, the dielectric withstandingvoltage shall

24、 meet the requirements specified in 3.8, the insulation resistance shall be as specified in3.10, the electrical characteristics shall be as specified in 3.7, and there shall be no evidence ofcorrosion affecting the mechanical or electrical operation.3.23 Life .3.23.1 Qualification inspection . When

25、coils are tested in accordance with 4.8.19, there shall be noevidence of mechanical damage. Initial measurements shall be in accordance with the electricalcharacteristics (initial) requirements of the individual component specification sheet. Succeedingmeasurements up, to and including, the 2,000 ho

27、om IHS-,-,-MIL-PRF-39010E93.23.2 FRL determination (extended FR test) . When coils are tested in accordance with 4.8.19, thereshall be no evidence of mechanical damage. Initial measurements shall be in accordance with theelectrical characteristics (initial) requirements of the individual component s

28、pecification sheet. Succeeding measurements up to and including the 10,000 hours shall be in accordance with theelectrical characteristics (final) requirements of the individual components specification sheet (see 3.1).3.24 Fungus . All external materials shall be nonnutrient to fungus growth or sha

29、ll be suitably treatedto retard fungus growth. The manufacturer shall certify that all external materials are fungus resistant orshall perform the test specified in 4.8.20. There shall be no evidence of fungus growth on the externalsurfaces.3.25 Marking . Coils shall be marked as specified herein. P

30、aper labels shall not be used. Othermarkings which in any way interfere with, obscure, or confuse those specified herein, are prohibited. Each coil shall be legibly marked that will withstand the environmental conditions specified herein. Atthe option of the manufacturer, coils may be laser marked.

31、The marking shall remain legible after alltests.3.25.1 Marking legibility (laser marking only) . When tested as specified in 4.8.1.3 the marking shallremain legible.3.25.2 Full marking . Marking shall be in accordance with method I of MIL -STD -1285. Unlessotherwise specified (see 3.1), coils shall

32、be marked with the PIN, manufacturers CAGE (Commercial andGovernment Entity) code, JAN marking, date code, and lot symbol as shown in the following example:(see 6.2).Example: M39010/ PIN01A1R0KMJAN 7233A JAN marking, date code, and lot symbol12345 Manufacturers CAGE codeAt the option of the manufact

The United States Government has adopted, and is exercising legitimatecontrol over the certification marks “JAN“ and “J“, respectively, to indicate that items so marked

35、oridentified are manufactured to, and meet all the requirements of specifications. Accordingly, itemsacquired to and meeting all of the criteria specified herein and in applicable specifications shall bear the certification mark “JAN“ except that items too small to bear the certification mark “JAN“

36、shall bear theletter “J“. The “JAN“ or “J“ shall be placed immediately before the part number except that if suchlocation would place a hardship on the manufacturer in connection with such marking, the “JAN“ or “J“may be located on the first line above or below the part number. Items furnished under

37、 contracts ororders which either permit or require deviation from the conditions or requirements specified herein or inapplicable specifications shall not bear “JAN“ or “J“. In the event an item fails to meet the requirementsof this specification and the applicable specification sheets or associated

38、 specifications, themanufacturer shall remove completely the military part number and the “JAN“ or the “J“ from the sampletested and also from all items represented by the sample. The “JAN“ or “J“ certification mark shall notbe used on products acquired to contractor drawings or specifications. The

39、United States Governmenthas obtained Certificate of Registration Number 504,860 for the certification mark “JAN“ andRegistration Number 1,586,261 for the certification mark “J”.3.25.4 Substitutability of product levels . A manufacturer may supply to those product levels, as listedin table IV, with f

40、ailure rates (FR) higher than that to which he is qualified. Parts with lower FR aresubstitutable, with acquiring agency approval, for higher FR parts, provided the lot date codes of theparts are not changed.TABLE IV. 44、ERIFICATION4.1 Classification of inspections . The inspection requirements specified herein are classified asfollows:a. Qualification inspection (see 4.4).b. Verification of qualification (see 4.5).c. Conformance inspection (see 4.6).d. Periodic inspection (see 4.7).4.2 QPL system . A QPL system sha

45、ll be established and maintained in accordance with 3.3. Evidence of such compliance is a prerequisite for qualification and retention of qualification.4.3 Inspection conditions . Unless otherwise specified, all inspections shall be performed inaccordance with the test conditions as specified in the

46、 “General Requirements“ of MIL -STD -202. Theexception to those conditions is the Relative Humidity which should be in the range of 15 percent to 75percent.4.3.1 Test voltage . The test voltage shall contain no more than 5 percent harmonic distortion.4.3.2 Test frequency . When a test frequency is s

47、pecified without a tolerance, the frequency used shallbe within 0.1 percent of the specified value.4.3.3 Demagnetization . When necessary to overcome remanence effects, demagnetization ispermitted.4.3.4 Test equipment and inspection facilities . Test and measuring equipment and inspection facilities

48、of sufficient accuracy, quality, and quantity to permit performance of the required inspection shall beestablished and maintained by the inspection facility. The establishment and maintenance of acalibration system to control the accuracy of the measuring and test equipment shall be in accordancewit

49、h ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO-10012-1, or equivalent system as approved by the qualifying activity.4.4 Qualification inspection . Qualification inspection shall be performed at a laboratory acceptable tothe Government (see 6.3) on sample units produced with equipment and procedures normally used inproduction.4.4.1 Sample size . The number of sample units compris
