SCOPE1.1 Scope . This specification covers one type of common module, Au

2、xiliary Control,Video PL-1402/UA which is one type of common module (see 6.1).1.2 Classification .1.2.1 Type designation . The type designation of this equipment shall be PL-1402/UA(see 3.1)2. 16、e . When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first articleinspection (see 4.2).3.2 Materials . The contractor shall select the materials, but the materials shall be capableof meeting all the operational and environmental requirements specified herein. The parts andmaterials specified

17、 in MIL-P-11268, MIL-P-55110, MIL-C-55302, MIL-STD-2073, and ASTMB194-92A are recommended, but are not mandatory. Recovered materials shall be used to themaximum extent possible.3.2.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials . Recycled, recovered,or environmentally preferable mat

18、erials should be used to the maximum extent possible providedthat the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promoteseconomically advantageous life cycle costs.3.3 Design . Internal design of the auxiliary control module is the responsibility of thecontractor. How

19、ever, the auxiliary control module shall conform to the dimensional and interfacerequirements of DL-SM-B-773228 and its subsidiary drawings.3.4 Weight . IR polarity control outputs shall be +0.60, 0.25 Vdcand shall be inverted with respect to each other.3.5.6 Polarity transient suppression . Polarity transien

26、t suppression shall provide a gatedlevel of +1.0, 0.1 Vdc on the IR level and gate waveform for a duration of 140, 40 millisecondsat each operation of polarity reversal.3.5.7 Scan failure protect . The scan failure protect feature shall provide a continuousgated level of +1.0, 0.1 vdc on the IR leve

27、l and gate waveform when a gate signal is not receivedfor a duration of greater than 120, 40 milliseconds.3.6 Environmental conditions .3.6.1 Temperature shock . The auxiliary control module shall not be damaged (see 6.3.1)by sudden changes in temperature between -54 C and +95 C.3.6.2 High temperatu

28、re . The auxiliary control module shall not be damaged by storageto +95 C or continuous operation to +71 C, and shall operate for 30 minutes at +95 C.3.6.3 Low temperature . The auxiliary control module shall not be damaged by operationto -54 C or storage to -62 C.3.6.4 Shock . The auxiliary control

29、 module shall not be damaged by high intensity shocksof 100gs peak amplitude with 11 milliseconds duration and by bench handling tests.3.6.5 Vibration . The auxiliary control module shall not be damaged by vibration over thefrequency spectrum at the specified g levels and amplitudes shown in figure

30、2.3.7 Reliability . The auxiliary control module shall have a mean time between failure(MTBF) of at least 17,500 hours 0 .3.8 Coating . Unless otherwise specified, the auxiliary control module and its componentsand parts shall be cleaned and coated in accordance with the contractors established proc

31、edures.3.9 Preconditioning . Each auxiliary control module shall be subjected to at least a 20-cycle preconditioning environment as specified in figure 3 prior to group A inspection. (Forexception to this requirement see 6.2.h.3.10 Marking . Mark directly or by label to include nomenclature, contrac

32、t number, serialnumber, date, manufacturing code, part number, and national stock number. Use clear and legiblelettering and a method of marking to withstand the operatng environment. VERIFICATION4.1 Classification of inspections . The inspection requirements specified herein areclassified as follows:a. First

34、 article inspection (see 4.2).b. Conformance inspection (see 4.3).4.1.1 Inspection conditions . Except as otherwise specified herein, all examinations andtests shall be performed at a temperature of 80 20 F.4.2 First article inspection . When specified in the contract, first article inspection shall

35、 beperformed by the contractor, on a minimum of 3 sample units, after award of contract and prior toproduction. First article reliability (4.6) is not required unless specified in the contract. Firstarticle inspection shall be performed on sample units which have been produced with equipmentand proc

36、edures normally used in production.4.2.1 Inspection routine . First article inspection shall consist of all the examinations andtests in accordance with table I and II. These tests shall be conducted in the order specified foreach group. One sample auxiliary control module is to remain at the contra

37、ctors plant and is tobe available as a standard for comparative purposes.4.2.2 Failure . If one or more sample auxiliary control modules fails to meet any of thefirst article requirements and tests, the contractor shall immediately notify the Government of thefailure. The contractor shall determine

38、the root cause of the failure and take appropriatecorrective action. The contractor is required to submit a new set of first article samples whichhave incorporated the change for inspection. A description of the failure(s) and correctiveactions(s) taken shall be included in the first article inspect

39、ion reports. It is recommended that thefailure mechanism be evaluated prior to restarting first article testing from the beginning on allnew units.4.2.3 Inspections . All materials, parts, processes and assemblies shall be examined forconformance to the applicable specification or drawing as indicat

Implementation of 3.9 and 4.8may be waived by system contractors ordering modules to this specification for use in themanufacture of complete systems if these systems or subassemblies thereof are subjected toequivalent preconditioning.j. Breakage, loosening, shifting, evidence of corrosion, or failure of anyfinish, hardware, connection or component; and any degradation of auxiliary control moduleperformance to values less than specified herein.6.3.2 Existing suppliers . Suppliers who are currently supplying equipment to thisspecification with a minimum average monthly rate of 10 units per month over the most current12-month period. If a supplier cannot maintain the minimum monthly average, a first article test(less reliability) performed annually shall sustain the exist
