Nothing in this document,however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has beenobtained.3. REQUIREME

15、NTS3.1 First article . When specified in the contract (see 6.2) the contractor shall furnish firstarticle units for inspection (see 4.2).3.2 Materials . The contractor shall select the materials, but the materials used shall be fullycapable of meeting all of the operational and environmental require

16、ments specified herein. Thematerials specified in the applicable drawings are recommended, but are not mandatory. Selectioncriteria of the class, grade or type part shall be that the material will be able to perform its intendedfunction when it is assembled. Verification of the supplier meeting the

17、overall performancerequirements shall be the governing acceptance standard. Recovered materials shall be used to themaximum extent possible.3.3 Description . The Optical Imager, SU-103/UA and SU-103A/UA, referred to herein asthe “Imager”, consists of thermally compensated optical elements which focu

18、s the IR energy froma mechanical scanner onto the detector array of an infrared system. The two models differ in theirinternal configuration but are identical in performance and external configuration. In system usage,they are completely interchangeable.3.3.1 Design . The Imager shall meet the form,

19、 fit, function and interface requirementsspecified herein.3.3.2 Dimensions . The Imager shall have the dimensions and dimensional tolerancesspecified on Drawing SM-D-804143 for the SU-103/UA or SM-D-969565 for the SU-103A/UAto ensure proper physical interface with existing hardware. Dimensions of th

20、e mounting flange andhousing for both versions shall be in accordance with Drawings SM-D-773420 and SM-D-773603to ensure proper interface with existing hardware.3.3.3 Weight . The weight of the Imager shall be 522.1 grams or less when weighed with ascale having an accuracy of 1% or greater.3.4 Compo

21、nents. The number of components comprising the imager shall be held to aminimum consistent with meeting the performance requirements. The EFL of the Imager in the 7.6 to 11.75 micrometerspectral region shall be 67.8 mm, 0.7 mm at the nominal flange focal distance (see 3.5.6) isdefined by ANSI PH 3.35, paragraph 4.3.5.2 f/num

23、ber . The f/number of the Imager shall be f/1.19 or faster, set by the clearaperture of the first lens element (see Figure 3) as defined by ANSI PH 3.29, paragraph 2.6.3.5.3 Linear distortion . The linear distortion of the Imager shall be between 0 to -3 percentat the edge of the field.3.5.4 Modulat

24、ion transfer function (MTF) . The MTF of the Imager shall not be less thanthe MTF given in Figure 1.3.5.5 Relative Illumination (RI) . The RI of the Imager shall not be less than 60 percent atthe edge of the field for a field diameter of 20 millimeters at the image plane.3.5.6 Flange focal distance

25、(FD) . The FD shall be set to a nominal of 17.71 mm, and beadjustable 0.47 mm at ambient temperature (see 6.5.2).3.5.7 Field of view (FOV) . The imager shall have a field of view sufficient to fill a circularformat with a diameter of 20 mm.3.5.8 Optical transmittance . The optical transmittance of t

26、he Imager, measured in the 7.6 -11.75 micrometer spectral region shall be at least 85% at ambient temperature (see 6.5.2).3.5.9 Deviation. The optical axis of the imager shall not deviate from 90.0 degrees by morethan 0.5 degree.3.6 Environmental conditions .3.6.1 Temperature shock . The Imager shal

27、l not be damaged by sudden changes intemperature between -54 C and +95 C (see 6.5.1).3.6.2 High temperature . The Imager shall not be damaged by storage to +95 C oroperation to +71 C (see 6.5.1).3.6.3 Low temperature . The Imager shall not be damaged by operation to -54 C or storageto -62 C (see 6.5

28、.1).3.6.4 Shock . The Imager shall not b

29、e damaged after sustaining vibration over afrequency spectrum at the specified “g” levels and amplitudes shown in Figure 3 (see 6.5.1).3.6.6 Altitude . The Imager shall not be damaged by operation at altitudes up to 10,000 feetabove sea level or storage to 50,000 feet above sea level (see 6.5.1).3.6

30、.7 Test methods . Measurements taken by the contractor during verification testing of allenvironmental performance requirements shall be accomplished using commercially accepted testapparatus such as an environmental test chamber, vibration test table, pendulum shock device orsimilar equipment which

31、 simulate extreme climatic or environmental conditions. For temperaturetests, test duration shall be a minimum of three (3) cycles for operation and seven (7) cycles forstorage at 24 hours for each cycle.3.7 Treatment and painting . Unless otherwise specified, the Imager shall have an externalsurfac

32、e of a composition or surface treatment which will prevent rust, corrosion and fungusgrowth in the full range of environmental requirements. External color and surface shine shallreduce light reflection and reduce recognition. Adherence must be assured through the full rangeof environmental and use

33、factors.3.8 Nameplates and product marking . The Imager shall be marked for identification asshown in View B of Drawing SM-D-773420. Marking shall consist of the following:80063-SM-D-77342080063 ASSY SM-D-804143 (or SM-D-969565)MFR xxxxx (CAGE Code)Marking shall be in contrasting letters when compar

34、ed to the background with a minimum letterheight of 0.06 mm.3.9 Workmanship . All electronic parts, components, assemblies or sub-assemblies shall befree of smudges, excess solder, metal chips or the existence of any foreign material on any surface.Bearing assemblies shall be free from rust, dirt or

35、 tool marks. Wires or integrated circuitry shall beprotected from contact with rough or irregular surfaces and be shielded from shorting. All opticalparts shall be free of material defects such as bubbles, seeds, cracks, feathers, milkiness and otherimperfections. Manufacturing defects such as blist

36、ers, burns, chips, dirt and other like defects shallbe cause for rejection of the component or final assembly.4. VERIFICATION4.1 Classification of inspections . The inspection requirements specified herein are classifiedas follows:a. First article inspection (see 4.2)b. Conformance inspection (see 4

Sampling procedures and sampling size shall be per ANSI/ASQC Z 1.4.This inspection shall include the examination of 4.5 and the tests of 4.3.2.4.2.1 Visual examination . All materials, parts and assemblies shall be examined forconformance to the applicable specifi

39、cation or drawing as indicated. Inspections shall be madeusing ANSI/ASQC Z 1.4 sampling procedures.TABLE I.
