SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification contains requirements for preparation of Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWR

3、s) for the maintenance andor demilitarization of conventional and chemical ammunition, hereafter referred to as ammunition. 1.2 Figures. The figures used in this specification are examples only. The text of this docupent takes precedence over the examples. 1.3 ADDlicability. DMWR publications contai

This specification shall be used to develop DMWRs for the maintenance and demilitarizationof ammunition. 3.1.1 Sele and formak Unless otherwise specified by the contracting activity (see 6.2), the general style and format of the DMWR

Dart numbers and nomenclature+ The NSNs, part numbers, and Commercial and Government Entity Codes (CAGEC) shall not be used in the nanative portion of the DMWR unless they are essential for identification of the item. Only approved nomenclature shall be used

15、 in the DMWR. The use of names and nomenclature shall be consistent throughout the DMWR. 3.1.3 Abbreviations and acronvms. Abbreviations shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-12. The first use of the abbreviation or acronym shall have the word or words spelled out completely. The abbreviation or acron

17、S. Crystallization (blooming) of PENTA-treated materials may require correction if it poses a health hazard to individuals, as determined by local medical authorities. The process of removing excess crystals should be accomplished without increasing the health risk to exposed personnel. Specific pro

18、cedures and industrial hygiene support should by requested from U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency, Toxicology Division (HSHB-ES-), Edgewood, MD 21040, DSN 584-2024. F-8. HANDLING OF LUMBER TREATED WITH ZINC NAPTHENATEICOPPER NAPTHENATE. Prevent inhalation, ingestion, and skin contact. Personnel

19、 should wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking, and using toilet facilities. All exposed areas of the body should be washed at the end of each workday. Leather palmed gloves should offer proper skin protection. If skin imtation is noted, a vinyl-coated glove can then be substituted. Coveralls m

This appendix lists single hazard icons which may be used in DMWRmings either singly or in combination. This list is inte

22、nded to include all approved single hazard icons; additional icons and definitions will be added, as applicable, when this document is amended or revised. This appendix is a mandatory part of the specification. The information contained herein is intended for compliance. A.2 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS Thi
