The materials shall be in accordance with the drawings, material speci- fications, and general specifications forming - a part of this specification. 3.2 Fabrication. The triDod shal

(e) Workmanship. . 3.4 Environmental. 3.4.1 Operating temperatures. The tripod shall meet the applicable requirements of 3.5 while exposed to and thermally stabilize

9、d at ambient temperature of .AO“ and +150“ F. . 3.5 Performance. 3.5.1 Tripod, M15. 3.5.1.1 Cradle, movement. The hinge con- nection of the Cradle Assembly, 7669716 shall be just tight enough to permit smooth func- tioning when elevating or depressing the cradle by means of the Adjusting Thumb- scre

10、w, 7575956. 3.5.1.2 Cradle support. The thumbscrew of the Leg Assembly 7669717, when tight- ened, shall prevent movement of the cradle assembly. The thumbscrew of the Collar As- sembly 7635320, when secured, shall support the cradle assembly at any vertically ad- justed position. 3.5.1.3 Leg support

With each leg dis- placed at least 65“ from the vertical, the hinged assemblies shall be capable of sup- porting the cradle assembly and shall not displace when a weight of 10 pounds is placed in the cradle. I 3.5.2 Tripoif, Ml7. 3.5.2.1 Clamphg screws. All winged clamping screws shall clamp with

12、sufficient pressure to hold legs at any extension when the clamping screws are tightened with the fingers and minimum weight of 30 pounds is applied at the head of the tripod. When the clamping screws are released, the legs shall have a free sliding movement. 3.5.2.2 Loc-ing levers. The locking leve

13、rs I / in the Head Assembly, Drawing 5581222 shall be capable of securing its respective leg to prevent the leg from displacing under operating conditions. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. The sup- plier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requireme

14、nts as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own or any other inspection facilities and services acceptable to the Gov- ernment. Inspection records of the eaxmina- tions and tests shall be kept complete and available to the Government as specified in the contr

15、act or order. The Government re- serves the right to perform any of the inspec- tions set forth in the specification where such ihspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to precribed requirements. 4.1.1 General provisions. The quality as- surance provisions of this spe

16、cification and of other documents referenced herein form the basis for inspection to be performed by the supplier. Inspection shall be in accord- ance with the requirements of Specification MIL-1-45208 and the component inspection requirements of Specification MIL-F-13926. Definitions of inspection

17、terms not otherwise defined herein shall be as listed in Standard ! MIGSTD-109. 4.2 Inspection provisions. 4.2.1 Inspection lot. Unless otherwise speciff ed by the contracting officer, inspection lot size, formation, and presentation of lots shall be in accordance with “Submission of Product“ specif

18、ied in Standard MIL-STD- 105. 4.2.2 Examination and tests. Components and subassemblies shall be inspected in ac- cordance with the inspection provisions con- tained in Specification MIL-F-13926 and List of Supplementary Quality Assurance Provi- sions, LSQAP-6574387 (Tripod : M17 only). Examinations

19、 and tests related to Section 3 herein shall be performed on a defect (indi- vidual characteristic) basis in accordance I Licensed by Information Handling ServicesMIL-T-L32858 66 W 777790b 0328624 3 W with Standard MIGSTD-105, and the inspec- tion level and sampling plans specified in Tables I, II a

20、nd III titled “Classification of Defects”. Examinations and tests for Pack- aging, Packing and Marking shall be in ac- cordance with Specification MIL-P-14232 and Section 5 herein. The tabulated classi- fication of defects shall constitute the minimum inspection to be performed by the supplier prior

21、 to Government acceptance or rejection by lot. The Government reserves the right to inspect for any applicable re- quirement, and to reject individual non- conforming items. . TABLE I. 26、STD-105. 4.3 Control tests. Three trpods of each type shall be selected at random for each 100 produced, or from each months production, whichever occurs first. Control samples shall have successfully met all acceptance tests specified herein prior to conducting the fol- lowing examinations and test

Should the con- trol test sample fail to meet the specified test requirements, acceptance of the product will be suspended by the Government until nec- essary corrections have been made by the contractor and the resubmitted sam

29、ples have been approved. 4.4 Inspection equipment. Except as other- wise provided for by the contract, the contractor shall furnish and maintain all re- quired measuring and testing equipment in accordance with the “Inspection Equipment” requirement of Specification MIL-145208. The Government reserv

30、es the right to use the test equipment for its own independent inspections to the extent that such use wiii not unduly interfere with the contractors delivery schedule. 4.4.1 Government furnished inspection equipment. 32、nspection equipment. 4.4.2.1 ContTactor design. The contractor shall design and supply inspection equipment compatible with the “Test Methods and Procedures” specified in 4.5, and with the “Component Inspection” requirements of Specification MIL-F-13926. Concept, con- struction, materials, dimension

33、s, and toler- ances used in design of test equipment shall be so selected and controlled as to insure that the test equipment will permit positive re- jection of a product which exceeds the pre- scribed tolerance limit, and will reliably indicate acceptability of a product which does not exceed 90 p

34、ercent of the prescribed tol- erance limit. Construction shall be such as to facilitate routine calibration of the equip- men t. 4.4.2.2 Equipment to perform operating temperatures test. The test equipment shall be in accordance with the “Test Facilities” requirements which include pertinent volume

35、and tolerances governing the environmental test conditions and measurements contained in Specification MIGF-13926 for the oper- ating temperatures specified in 3.4.1. 4.5 Test methods and procedures. 4.5.1 Fabrication. The tripod shall be visually inspected for proper fabrication in compliance with

36、the requirements specified in 5.2. Dimensional checks shail be made by use of standard measuring equipment. This inspection shall be performed on the control samples (4.3). 4.5.2 Operating temperatures. The operat- ing temperature test consists of exposing the tripod to the temperatures indicated in

37、 3.4.1 by means of equipment complying with the requirements of 4.4.2.2. While at these tem- peratures, each tripod shall meet the applica- ble performance requirements as specified in 3.4.1. 4.5.3 Perf ormance. 4.5.3.1 Cradle movement (M15). The tripod shall be firmly set. The tripod shall then be

38、functionally and manually tested for the requirements of 3.5.1.1 by manually oper- ating and noting that movement is without bind or looseness. 4.5.3.2 Cradle support (M15). The tripod shall be functionally and manually tested for the requirements of 3.5.1.2. When the thumb- screw of the leg assembl

39、y is tightened there shall be no apparent movement of the cradle assembly. It shall move freely when thumb- screw is released. The cradle assembly shall be secured at any extension, and when the thumbscrew of the collar assembly is tight- ened there shall be no apparent movement of the cradle assemb

40、ly. 4.5.3.3 Leg support (Ml5). The test shall be accomplished with the aid of standard measuring equipment. The leg hinge assem- blies shall be stiff enough to support the weight specified in 3.5.1.3 with the legs of the tripod displaced from the vertical as specified in 3.6.1.3. 4.5.3.4 Clamping sc

41、rews (Ml7). The test may be performed with the legs of the tripod set at least on a 30-inch circle. Apply the re- quired weight as specified in 3.5.2.1. The clamping assembly shall function properly, and securely clamp the legs at any extension when the winged screws are tightened. When the winged s

42、crews are released, the legs shall slide freely. 4.5.3.5 Locking levers (Mir). The tripod shall be functionally and manually tested for the requirements of 3.6.2.2, utilizing the same test setup as in 4.6.3.4. The locking lever when in locked position shall hold with suffi- cient tension to prevent

43、its respective leg from being jarred from its set position or displaced. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging, packing and marking. The tripod shall be cleaned preserved, packaged, packed and marked in accordance with Speci- fication MIL-P-14232 and the applicable data Licensed by Information H
