REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Fabrication.- The telescope shall be manufactured in accordance with the drawing applicable to the type telescope specified in the con- tract and drawing pertineht thereto. 3.2 General specification.- The contractor shall be responsible for adherence to, and compliance with

Optical surfaces shall be free of scratches and blemishes which may affect their optical quali- ties or appearance. 3.4 Temperature conditions.- Except as specified in 3.5.1 and 3.5.2, the following requirements shall be met at a tempera
8、ture between 60 and 90 Fahrenheit (F) . *; 3.5 Environmental. 3.5.1 Storage temperatures.- The telescope shall show rio evidence of physical failure such as cement separation, glass breakage or casting failure and shall meet the applicable requirements of this specification at a standard ambient tem
9、perature of 60 to 90F after having been ex- posed and thermally stabilized at -8OO and +160 Fahrenheit (F). 3.5.2 Extreme operating temperatures.- The telescope shall meet the applicable requirements of 3.9 while exposed and thermally stabilized at -400 and +150 F. 2. QUALITY ASSUWCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is r
30、esponsible for the per- mance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection require- ments specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Gov- er
31、nmen: reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to as- sure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Except as 4.1.1 General provisions.- The component and subassembly inspec- tion requirement of M
32、IL-F-13926 form a part of the Quality Assurance Pro- visions of this specification. as listed in MIL-STD-109. Definitions of inspection terms shall be 4.2 First article (initial production) approval.- The requirement for first article approval and the responsibility (Government or con- tractor) for
33、first article testing shall be as specified in the contract. The sample for first article approval shall consist of three telescopes plus three each of all items covered by SQAP. The sample shall be manufactur- ed i$ the same manner, using the same materials, equipment, processes, and procedures as
34、used in regular production. All parts and materials, including packaging and packing, shall be obtained from the same source of supply as used in regular production. 4.2.1 Government testing.- When the Government is responsible for conducting first article approval tests, the contractor, prior to su

37、 certificates of conformance for materials, shall be submitted to the Government for approval. The Government reserves the right to witness the contractors inspection. The sample i 4.3 Inspection provisions. 4.3.1 Submission of product.- Unless otherwise specified by the con- tracting officer, inspe
38、ction lot size, lot formation and presentation of lots shall be in accordance with “Submission of Product“ provisions of MIL-STD-105. * 4.3.2 Examination and tests. 4.3.2,l Components and subassemblies.- All components and subassem- blies shall be inspected in accordance with the inspection provisio
39、ns contained in Supplementary Quality Assurance Provisions (SQAP) listed in the technical data package (TDP). In the absence of SQAPS, the appli- cable Quality Assurance Provisions of MIL-F-13926 shall apply. Examina- tion, and tests related to Section 3 herein shall be performed on a single defect
40、(individual characteristic) basis in accordance with MIL- STD-205 and the sampling plans specified in Tables I, II and III herein. Examination and tests for packaging, packing, and marking shall be in accordance with MIL-P-14232 and Section 5 herein. The tabulated classi- fication of defects in Tabl
41、e I, II and III shall constitute the minimum inspection to be performed by the supplier after first article approval and prior to Government acceptance or rejection by item or lot.
