REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Fabrication.- The telescopes shall be manufactured in accordnce with the applicable drawing listed in 2.1. 3.2 General specifica

7、tion.- The contractor shall be respnsible for compliance with the following requirements of MIL-F-13926. a. Order of precedence b. Dimensions and tolerances C. inorganic protective surface finishes d. Part identification and marking 3.3 Temperature conditions,- The requirements of this specification

8、 shall be met with the telescope thermally stabilized at an ambient tempera- ture of between 60 and 90“ Fahrenheit (F) unless otherwise specified in the requirement paragraphs. 3.4 Workmanship.- The workmanship requirements of MIL-F-13926 shall be met. The exterior protective surface finishes shall

9、be free of any defects which effect their protective qualities or appearances. Optical surfaces shall be clean and free of any scratches or blemishes which may effect their optical qualities and shall meet the requirements of 3.5.4. 3.5 Environmenta1.- Any telescope subjected to any or all of the re

10、quirements of 3.5.1 to 3.5.3.1 inclusive shall subsequently meet the requirements of 3.5.4 to 3.6.7 inclusive, unless otherwise specified. 3.5.1 Storage temperature,- The telescope shall show no evidence of physical failure such as cement separation, glass breakage or casting failure after having be

11、en exposed and thermally stabilized at ambient temperatures of -80“ and +160F (see 3.5.3.1). 3.5.2 Vibration.- The telescope shall be positioned with the line of sight through the eyepiece and objective tube in a horizontal plane and the telescope supported at the 0.8435 inch diameter of the objecti

12、ve tube, cycles per second with an amplitude of 1/16 inch (1/8 inch total excur- sion) for a period of 5 minutes f 15 seconds. 13、D (MU) 3.5.3 Sealing.- The telescope shall show no evidence of leakage in excess of 0.2 psig when subjected to an internal pressure of 5 & 0.10 psig for a period of 2 hours using dry nitrogen having a dew point at least as low as -25F. 3,5.3.1 Condensation (low temperature).- When viewed through the

14、 eyepiece and objective ends of the telescope, there shall be no evidence of condensation at room temperature (60“ to 90F) immediately upon thermal stabilization, subsequent to being subjected to the -80F and prior to the +160F requirement of 3.5.1. 3.5.4 Cleanliness.- The telescope shall meet the c

15、leanliness require- ments of MIL-0-13830. exceed the following limitations of dirt, quantity, and size (see 6.3 size equivalent). When viewed through the eyepiece, dirt shall not a. Inner zone (100 mils diameter).- The maximum size of any one particle of dirt or foreign material shall not exceed the

16、 area equivalent to a size 5 dig. Three particles may be as large as a size 5 dig. Three particles shall not ex- ceed a size 1 dig. Any particles smaller than a size 114 dig shall not be counted. There shall be no more than 6 particles of dirt. b. Outer zone (limited to clear aperture of reticle)- T

17、he maxi- mum size of any one particle of dirt or foreign material shall not exceed the area equivalent to a size 10 dig. Three particles may be as large as a size 10 dig. Smaller sizes may be more in number, but their combined area shall not exceed that of 3 size 10 digs, which is maximum dirt per-

18、mitted. Any particles smaller than a size 114 dig shall not be counted. c. Dirt separation.- The separation between each dirt particle a or foreign matter shall be at least 10 mils for both zones. d. Glass surfaces.- All glass surfaces shall be free of conden- sation, or stains resulting from conden

19、sation, when viewed through the objective and eyepiece ends of the telescope, 3.6 Accuracy. 3.6.1 Collimation.- The optical axis of the telescope shall be in coincidence with the geometric axis within 0.50 mil when the telescope is rotated 3200 mils (90“ to the left and 90“ to the right from a verti

20、cal position of the eyepiece) about the geometric axis as defined by the exterior mounting surface of the Objective tube of the telescope. 3.6.2 Parallax.- Parallax at the optical axis shall not exceed 0.1 mil when viewing a target between 40 meters and infinity. 3 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo re

22、ine within 30 minutes of arc, when each of the 3 indices (90 apart) are in position for coincidence with a vertical plane index through the geometric axis of the telescopes objective tube. 3.6.5 Reticle accuracy.- The angular separation for the O to 85 mil span in each of the 4 quadrants of the reti

23、cle shall each be 85 mils f 2.5 mils. 3.6.6 Eyepiece focus.- The eyepiece focus of the reticle shall be set between minus 0.75 and minus 1.0 diopter. 3.6.7 Illumination.- The telescope M109 only shall meet the lfXluminated Reticles“ requirement of MIL-0-13830. Instrument Light M53E1 or equivalent, t

24、he reticle markings shall appear clearly defined when observed in a darkened area. With the reticle illuminated by 4 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the per- formance of all

25、 inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection require- ments specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Govern- ment reserves the right t

26、o perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. a 4.1.1 General provisions.- The component and subassembly inspection requirements of MIL-F-13926 form a part of the quality

27、 assurance provisions of this specification. in MIL-STD-109. Definitions of inspection terms shall be as listed 4.2 First article (initial production) approval.- The requirement for first article approval and the responsibility (Government or contrac- tor) for first articie testing shall be as speci

28、fied in the contract. sample for first article approval tests shall consist of 3 telescopes. The sample shall be manufactured in the same manner, using the same materials, equipment, processes, and procedures as used in regular produc- tion. All parts and materials, including packaging and packing,

29、shall be obtained from the same source of supply as used in regular production. 30、irst article approval tests, the contractor, prior to sub- mitting the sample to the Government, shall inspect the sample to insure that it conforms to all the requirements of the contract and submit a record of this inspection with the sample, including certificates of conformance for materials, 4.

31、2.2 Contractor testing.- When the contractor is responsible for conducting first article approval tests, the sample shall be inspected by the contractor for all the requirements of the contract. The sample and a record of this inspection, including certificates of conformance or materials, shall be

32、submitted to the Government for approval. The Government reserves the right to witness the contractors inspection. 4.3 Inspection provisions. 4.3.1 Submission of product.- Unless otherwise specified by the contracting officer, inspection lot size, lot formation and presentation of lots shall be in a

33、ccordance with “Submission of Product“ provisions of MIL-STD-105. 4.3.2 Examination and tests. 4.3.2.1 Components and subassemblies.- All components and subassemblies shall be inspected in accordance with the inspection provisions contained in Supplementary Quality Assurance Provisions (SQAP) listed

34、 in the techni- cal data package (TDP). In the absence of SQAPs, the applicable Quality Assurance Provisions of MIL-F-13926 shall apply. Examination and tests related to Section 3 herein, shall be performed on a single defect (individual characteristic) basis in accordance with MIL-STD-105 and the s

35、ampling plans specified in Tables I, II and III herein. and tests for packaging, packing, and marking shall be in accordance with MIL-P-14232 and Section 5 herein. The tabulated classification of defects in Tables I, II and III shall constitute the minimum inspection to be performed by the supplier

36、after first article approval and prior to Govern- ment acceptance or rejection by item or lot. 45、on equipment.- Where the contract provides for Government furnished test equipment, supply and maintenance of test equipment shall be in accordance with applicable requirements specified in MIL-1-45607. 4.5.2 Contractor furnished inspection equipment. 4.5.2.1 Government design.- All inspection equip

46、ment specified by drawing number in specifications or SQAPs forming a part of the contract shall be supplied by the contractor in accordance with technical data included in the technical data package list. 4.5.2.2 Contractor design.- The contractor shall design and supply inspection equipment compat

47、ible with the “Test Methods and Procedures“ specified in 4.6 of this specification and with the component inspection procedures specified in “Examination“ and “Test Facilities“ requirements of MIL-F-13926. to be within 10% of the product tolerance for which it is intended, this inherent error in the

48、 test equipment design must be considered as part of the prescribed product tolerance limit. Thus, concept, construction, materials, dimensions and tolerances used in the design of test equipment shall be so selected and controlled as to insure that the test equipment will reliably indicate acceptab

49、ility of a product which does not exceed 90% of the prescribed tolerance limit, and permit positive rejection when non-conforming. Construction shall be such as to facilitate routine calibration of test equipment, Since tolerance of test equipment is normally considered 4.5.2.3 Inspection equipment design requirements. 4.5.2.3.1 Accuracy.- Special testing equipment to test the telescope . shall conform to the following requirements: a.
