3、pecification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 SCON. This specification covers two-wheel, comercial, cargo trailers having load-carrying capacities of 500 pounds, 2,000 pounds and 3,000 pounds under normal operating conditions. specificati

Trailer body shall be fabricated of steel. Floor and tailgate shall be not less than 10 gage (-1345 inch) carbon steel. front panels, stake

The bows shall be of the knockdown type constructed of metal or hardwood and metal components and shall provide an inside height of not less than 45 inches for type I and 60 inches for types II and III, measured from the floo

14、r to inside of the tarpaulin at the center. place, and extend down the sides, front, and rear to within 3-inches of the platform- Tarpaulin shall be fabricated from laminated vinyl nylon or vinyl polyester material not less than 18 ounces weight per square yard. The tarpaulin shall be treated to be

15、resistant to fire, water, weather, and mildew, and all seams shall be double stitched or heat sealed. Tiedowns shall be solid rubber straps with S-hooks at ends.
