REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Fabrication,- The telescope shall be manufactured in accordance with Drawing F7660400 and drawings pertaining thereto. 3.2 .General specification.- The contractor shall be responsible for adherence to

( f) Workmanship, 3.3 Environmental. 3.3.1 Storage temperatures.- The telescope shall show no evidence of physical failure or damage subsequent to being exposed to and thermally stabilized at -80“ and +160F. 3.3
9、.2 Extreme operating temperatures.- The telescope shall meet the applicable requirements of 3.8.2.6 and 3.9 while exposed to and thermally stabilized at -40“ and +150F. 3.3.3 Standard temperature.- Unless otherwise specified, the tele- scope shall meet the following requirements while exposed to and
10、 thermally stabilized at a temperature between 60“ and 90F. 3.3.4 Vibration.- The telescope shall show no evidence of physical failure or damage and shall meet the following requirements, except 3.7.1.1, after being subjected to a vibration of 30 I: 5 cycles per second at an amplitude of 1/16 inch,
11、1/8 f 1/64 inch total excursion, for a period of 5 minutes i 5 seconds (see 3.7.1.1). 3.4 Sealing. 3.4.1 Pressure (optical system),- The entire interior area of the optical assembly shall be capable of withstanding an internal pressure of 5 f 0.10 pounds per square inch (psi) for a period of 5 minut

17、to meeting the requirements of 3.3.4, the line of sight shall remain within 0.25 mil of the azimuth position established in 3.7.1.1. 3.7.2 Image tilt.- When checked at 1600 mil increments in azimuth through two full revolutions in each direction, the image of a vertical target line shall be vertical

This requirement shall also be met with the elbow assembly positioned against each of the swing stops, 3.7.3 Parallelism of.retcle and image.- When checked at 1600 mil increments in azimuth through two full revolutions in each direction, the vertical reticleline shall be p

21、l be 10.0 seconds of arc or less when using an auxiliary telescope of at least 3 power having an entrance pupil of at least 0.4 inch. Resolution shall consist of detectable line structure and proper line count in all four meridians. Variation in focus between meridians shall not exceed 0.25 diop- te
22、rs as measured at the telescope eyepiece. 3.7.7 Reticle accuracy.- The angle formed by the graduations at the outer extremity of the reticle shall be within 0.25 mil of the value indicated on the reticle drawing. 3.8 Performance. 3.8.1 Elevation mechanism 3.8.1.1 Excursion range.- Rotation of the el
23、evation knob shall cause the line of sight to elevate and depress a minimum of 300 mils from the position specified in 3.6(d). 3.8.1.2 Plumb travel.- With the line of sight in coincidence with a vertical target line, the line of sight shall track the target within 0.5 mil when elevated 300 mils, dep
24、ressed to 300 mils, then elevated to zero elevation. 3.8.2 Azimuth mechanism. 3.8.2.1 Azimuth error.- Error at azimuth readings, taken in 800 mil increments through two full revolutions shall not exceed 1.0 mil excluding back1 as h. 3.8.2.2 Deflection error.- Rotating the gunners aid knob to indicat
25、e 15 mils followed by rotation of the azumuth knob in the opposite direction (with backlash removed) to deflect the line of sight 15 mils shall cause the reset counter to return to within 0.3 mil of the original setting, This requirement shall be met with the 15 mil value set into each scale and the
26、 azimuth counter indicating O000 (Black), 1600 (Black) 0000 (Red) and 1600 mils (Red) at the start of each reading. 3.8.2.3 Backlash.- Backlash in the azimuth mchanism shall not exceed 1.0 mil when read on the azimuth counter; 1.5 mils when read on the reset counter. 3.8.2.4 Level travel,- Starting
27、with the line of sight in coincidence with a horizontal target, the line of sight shall track the target within 6.0 mils (total excursion) when rotated through two full revolutions. 3.8.2.5 Lift.- Vertical displacement of the line of sight due to reversing rotation by means of the azimuth knob shall

42、E PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the per- formance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any comme
43、rcial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 General provisions.- The component a
