REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material. Material shall be in accordance with applicable drawings
11、, specifications and standards. 3.2 Parts and subassemblies. All parts and subassemblies shall comply with applicable drawings, specifications and standards. 3.3 Assembly. The assembly shall comply with all requirements specified on Drawing 905D490, all associated drawings, and with all requirements
12、 specified in applicable specifications. 3.4 Interchangeability. All parts having the same part number shall be completely interchangeable with each other and with like parts of other manufacturers with respect to installation and performance. Parts joined together by welding, brazing, or riveting s
13、hall be interchangeable as assemblies. Interchangeability shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-454, Requirement 7. Testing shall be in accordance with 4.4.7. 3.5 Design and construction. 3.5.1 Input characteristics. The motor line voltage shall be 28 volts direct current (Vdc) per MIL-STD-704. 3.5.2
14、Output characteristics. The motor output characteristics shall be per torque-speed curve defined on drawing 905D490 unless otherwise specified by the contract. 3.5.3 - Duty cycle. The motor duty cycle shall be intermittent consisting of 15 seconds on and 45 seconds off repeated 10 times maximum with
15、 rated load and terminal voltage of 28 Vdc followed by cooling off period of 15 minutes between runs. 3.5.4 Motor enclosure. The motor shall be totally enclosed. 3.5.5 Connector bracket. The connector bracket assembly shall be able to withstand force of 500 pounds (lbs) maximum in the directions at
16、the centerline of the connector without visible distortion as noted on drawing 90-5D490. 3.6 Performance characteristics. The motor shall be capable of meeting the requirements of MIL-M-8609 except as modified by drawing 905D490. 3.6.1 Horsepower. The motor shall provide 2.85 horsepower as 3.6.2 Tor

18、tion only). Electric Drive Motors shall operate when assembled to an accepted Universal - Turret Subsystem (UTS). 3.6.3 Direction of rotation. The direction of motor output rotation shall be counterclockwise as viewed from the spine end of the motor. 3.7 Environmental requirements. The motor shall p
19、erform as specified in 3.5 and 3.6 after exposure to the environments specified herein. 3.7.1 Temperature. The operating temperature ofthe motor shall be from -650 to 125OF and the non-operating temperature shall be from -650F to t160OF. 3.7.2 Altitude. The operating altitude of the motor shall be f
20、rom sea level to 50,000 feet. 3.7.3 Temperature - Altitude combination. The motor shall meet the requirements of MIL-E-5400 paragraph 3.2.24.3. 3.7.4 Humidity. The motor shall withstand the effects of humidity up to 100 percent, including conditions wherein condensation takes place in and on the mot
21、or. The mptor shall withstand the above conditions during operating and non-operating conditions. 3.7.5 Vibration. The motor shall meet the requirements of MIL-E-5400 paragraph 3.2.24.5.1.3 except as modified by drawing. 3.7.6 Shock. The motor shall meet the requirements of MIL-E-5400 paragraph 3.2.
22、24.6. 3.7.7 Sand and dust. The motox shall withstand, in both an operating and non-operating condition, exposure to sand and dust particles as encountered in areas of the world. 3.7.8 Fungus. The motor shall withstand, in both an operating and non-operating condition, exposme to fungus growth as enc
23、ountered in tropical climates. 3.7.9 Salt fog. The motor shall withstand in both an operating and non-operating condition, exposure to salt-sea atmospheres. 3.8 First article inspection. This specification contains technical provisions for first article inspection. Requirements for the submission of

The motor shall show no evidence of exces
25、sive wear damage, burning, galling, or moving parts, etc. 3.9 Dimensions. Dimensions and tolerances shall be as specified on drawing 905D490. 3.10 Weight. The maximum weight of the motor shall be 6.8 lbs. 3.11 Color. The color of the motor enclosure shall be black wrinkle. 3.12 Identification plate.
26、 The motor shall be marked as specified on drawing 905D490. 3.13 Workmanship. Workmanship and finish shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-454, Requirement 9. Finished items and parts shall not exhibit faulty material and processing such as seams, laps, laminations, cracks, visible steps, sharp edges,
27、 nicks, scratches, burrs, foreign matter, deformation, and missing operations which may affect serviceability, operation, or safety. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection and standard quality assurance provisions. Unless otherwise specified herein or in the contract, the
28、provisions of MIL-W-63150 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this detail specification. 4.1.1 Certification provisions. The certification provisions of MIL-W-63150 shall apply. (See 6.2.1.) 4.2 Quality assurance terms and definitions. Quality assurance terms and definitions used herein are in
29、 accordance with MIL-STD-109. 4.3 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specifiedherein are classified as follows: a. First Article Inspection (see 4.4). b. Quality Conformance Inspection (see 4.5). 4.4 First article inspection. 4.4.1 Submission. The contractor shall submit five
30、 sample motors for evaluation in accordance with the provisions of 4.4.2. 4.4.2 Inspection to be performed. 31、ponent, or test specimen fails to comply with any of the applicable requirements, the first article sample shall be rejected. to terminate its inspection upon any failure of any assembly, component, or test specimen in the sample that fails to comply with any of the stated requirements. 33、for the inspections and tests of this specification. 4.5.5 Inspection Equipment. The inspection equipment required to perform the examinations and tests prescribed herein is described in the Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method Column in Table 4.5.3.1. The contractor shall submit for approval all i
34、nspection equipment designs in accordance with the terms of the contract. See MIL-W-63150 and 6.3 herein. 4.5.6 Proof test (first article inspection only). When specified in the contract (see 6.2) three (3) Electric Drive Motors shall be forwarded to the site specified by the contracting agency and
35、assembled to an accepted Universal Turret Subsystem (UTS). The Electric Drive Motor shall function in accordance to the intent of the design and with no evidence of malfunction. When approved by the contracting agency, this test may be performed at the aircraft system level. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Preserv
36、ation, packaging, packing and marking. The electric drive motor covered by this specification is intended for use with Gun, automatic, 20mm: M197 on Armament Subsystem, Helicopter, 20mm: M97E1 and M97
38、E2. 6.2 Ordering Data. Procurement documents shall specify the following : 6.2.1 Procurement requirements. a. Title, number and date of this specification. b. Quantity required and delivery schedules. c. Serialization requirements, if applicable. d. Quality Conformance Inspection, if other than spec
