10、n the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein (except for associated detail specifications, specification sheets or MS standards) , the text of this specification shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applica
11、ble laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3 . REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials and components. All materials and components cited on Drawing 99-1-39 and subsidiar? drawings shall conform to the specifications listed thereon or to the specific characteristics set forth on the
12、drawings. 3.2 Assembly. The warhead
13、 (Drawing 90-1-39) shall not leak or show evidence of distortion when subjected to an internal pressure of O S,OOO + 50 pounds per square inch gage (psig) for a period Of-5 to 7 seconds at ambient temperature when tested as specified in 4.4.4.i. 3.3.2 Warhead (air). The warhead accepted for hydrosta
14、tic leakage shall not leak air when subjected to an internal air pressure of 100 + 10 psig for a period of 15 to 20 seconds at ambient temperature when tested as specified in 4.4.4.2. 3.3.3 Burster tube casing. The burster tube casing shall not leak air when subjected to an internal pressure of 100
15、-I- 10 psig for a period of i5 to 20 seconds at ambient temperature when tested as specified in 4.4.4.3. 3.3.4 Brazed joint. When tested as specified in 4.4.4.4, the sectioned and peeled brazed joints shall be free of entrapped slag, unwetted areas, or unbonded areas, for a minimum of 50 pefcent of
16、the aggregate area of the faying surfaces. Half the area of the adapter joint may be excluded from examination. There shall be no leakage paths through the brazed joints. This will be assured by the presence of a bonded area not less than 1/8 inch wide that extends 360“ around each joint. 3.4 Prepro

18、mation. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use h
19、is own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements speci- fied herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Goverhent reserves the right t perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure
20、supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Except as otherwise specified 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items must meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractrs overall inspection system or qua

23、ize sub- 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: (a) (b) Preproduction inspection (see 4.3) . Quality conformance inspection ( see 4.4) . 4.3 Preproduction inspection. 4.3.1 Sample. A preprolduction sample of i5 warheads and i5 burst
24、er tube cas- ings shall be manufactured using the same methods, materials, equipment, and processes as will be used during regular production. 4.3.2 Inspection procedure. 4.3.2.1 For examination and nondestructive tests. The preproduction samples shall be examined and tested in accordance with the c
25、lassification of defects (4.4.3.3). The AQLs do not apply. 4.3.2.2 For destructive tests. Each brazed joint in the preproduction Sam- ple of warheads shall comply with 3.3.4 when tested as specified in 4.4.4.4. 4.3.3 Acceptance/rejection criteria. The preproduction samples shall comply with the exam

28、tion revision. 4.4.2 Sampling. 4.4.2.1 For examination and nondestructive tests. Sampling shall be con- ducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.4.2.2 For destructive test. During the production of the first lot, one body assembly (Drawing 90-1-39) shall be randomly taken from each shifts pro- ducti

30、nd nondestructive tests. The sample components shall be examined and tested in accordance with the classification of defects (4.4.3.3) and MIL-STD-105. 4.4.3.2 For destructive test. Prior to the application of protective coat- ing and after air test (4.4.4.2), the brazed joints of the sample from th

Any indication of leakage shall be cause for rejection. 4.4.4.4 Brazed joint. The brazed joints of the sample warheads shall be sec- tioned and peeled from
48、the warhead. The brazing and the solder groove on the warhead shall then be examined for compliance with 3.3.4. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Cleaning and preservation. Warheads shall be clean and free of corro- sion. ings and MIL-P-116. Critical surfaces shall be preserved in accordance with applicable draw- I
49、5.2 Body packing, level C. The warheads shall be packed in accordance with Drawing 803-7835 . 5.3 Casing, burster tube, level C. The burster tube casing shall be pack- aged, packed, and marked in accordance with MIL-STD-1169. 5.4 Marking.
