Because kinetic energy is a function of the square of the velocity, the vehicles speed has more significance than its weight. Therefore, limit

31、 used must be listed in either the Department of State (DoS) certified or Department of Defense (DoD) approved anti-ram vehicle barrier lists. Barrier widths shall be as certified/approved on these lists. Alternatively, if a barrier systems width is between the widths of two listed barrier systems t

32、hat are identical except for their widths, then that barrier system is also acceptable. Exceptions and acceptable widths will only be taken from the DoD anti-ram vehicle barrier list. The design and structural materials of the vehicle barrier furnished shall be the same as those used in the crash te

33、sted barrier. Crash test must have be performed and data compiled by an approved independent testing agency in accordance with either ASTM F 2656 or SD-STD-02.01. Barriers tested and certified on the previous Department of State standard, SD-STD-02.01, April 1985, and listed on the DoD approved anti

34、-ram vehicle barrier list are also acceptable.1.3 SUBMITTALS*NOTE: Review submittal description (SD) definitions in Section 01 33 00 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES and edit the following list to reflect only the submittals required for the project. Submittals should be kept to the minimum required for adequat

35、e quality control.A “G” following a submittal item indicates that the submittal requires Government approval. Some submittals are already marked with a “G”. Only delete an existing “G” if the submittal item is not complex and can be reviewed through the Contractors Quality Control system. Only add a

36、 “G” if the submittal is sufficiently important or complex in context of the project.For submittals requiring Government approval on Army projects, a code of up to three characters within the submittal tags may be used following the “G“ designation to indicate the approving authority. Codes for Army

37、 projects using the Resident Management System (RMS) are: “AE“ for Architect-Engineer; “DO“ for District Office (Engineering Division or other organization in the District Office); “AO“ for Area Office; “RO“ for Resident Office; and “PO“ for Project Office. Codes following the “G“ typically are not
