The grease shall consist of a mineral lubricating oil thickened with a calcium soap of one or more of the higher fatty acids with or without additives as necessary to meet the requirements of this specification. mineral lubricating oil may be either virgin oir, re-re

The grease as to be an annayance to personnel during formulation or normal use under dtions of adequate ventilation while e

16、xercising caution to avoid prolonged contact with the skin and while observing- Occupational Safety and Health 2ihmstmtion (OSHA) guidelines. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is re

Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his m or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection reqhments specified herein, unless disay?prcsved by the .emm.nt. 22、ent reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where su& inspections are deen& llcessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 Remonsibilitv for mliance. items must meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. A lot shall consist of all the grease produced by one manufaclmer, at one plant, from the sa materials ard urder

25、 essentially the same conditions, pmvided the operation is continucm and does not exceed a 24 hour pericd. In the event the process is a batch aperation, ea& bat& shall constitute a lot (see 4.2.1.1). . I 4.2.1.1 Batch. A batch is defined as that quantity of material which has been maMlfactured by a

27、rs. A randaau sample of filled unit amtainers shall be taken froan each lot in acoordance with 4.3.2 samplina for tests. Ihe sample for tests shall consist of two 2.27 kilcqram (kg) samples of grease taken at random fm filled containers fm ea& lot of grease. For users who obtain grease in large cont

28、ainers, two 2.27 kg -les shall be taken in acoxdame with ASTU4 D 4057. The lot shall be unacceptable if either sample fails to amply with any of the tests specified in 4.5. 4.4 Inmection. phe grease shall be examined for confozmme with 3.4. DI addition to the inspection, the mufacturer shall provide

29、 certification of non- carcinogenicity as specified in 3.2.1 (i.e., materials are not considered carcinogenic or potentially carcinogenic). 4.4.1 Classification sf inmection. In awtion to any special or identification markings required by the contract or -/delivery order, all Containers shall be marked in accordame with MIGSTD-129 and MIGS“290 (see 6.2) . 5.3 Palletization. 42、ied (see 6.2) , the packed gxease shall be palletized in accow with MI“D-147. Palletized load shall be marked in accordame with MIGSTD-290. Accumulated waste grease should have the exterior of the auter pack marked as containing grawte to assist die facilities to manage the product according to regulations pmwlgated by the US Ehvhmtal Protection Agency under Public Law 94-580, Resoune Conservation and Recarery Act of 1976. 6.5.2 Handlinu and safety Drecautions.
