It is the responsibility of the user to establish satisfactory health and safety practices and to ensure conformity with any European, national or local laws/regulations. 5 Princip IelTec h n i q u e Not applicable 6 Resources 6.1 Apparatus Ali test equipment shall be calibrated at i
18、ntervals not exceeding 12 months. 6.1.1 Humidity cabinet For relative humidity test exposures, a humidity cabinet is required in which the exposure zone can be maintained at (50 f 3) “C or (70 f 3) “C and a minimum of 95 % relative humidity. It shall be possible to record the temperature continuousl
19、y. To obtain and to maintain the humidity, only freshly distilled water shall be used. Airflow is allowed. 6.1.2 Saltspray cabinet A saltspray cabinet is required, in accordance with IS0 3768. 6.1.3 Fluid containers For fluid immersion tests, containers are required of sufficient size, capable of ma
20、intaining a fluid temperature within the required range (see table I), independent of the location of the test panel in the fluid. It shall be possible to record the temperature continuously. 6.2 Materials/Reagents Test fluids in accordance with EN 2379 (see table 1). 6.3 Qualification of personnel

Any interruption shall be recorded. The test pieces shall b
28、e suspended in the exposure area in such a way that the minimum distance betwe each other and the sides of the humidity cabinet is 25 mm. The test pieces shall be arranged so that condensate from one test piece does not drip on another. Relative humidity (exposure at 50 OC or 70 OC) n 8.1.2 Salt spr
29、ay See IS0 3768 - except that the test pieces shall be suspended in such a way that the minimum distance between each other and the side of the cabinet is 25 mm. 8.1.3 Fluids The test piece shall be exposed in the test fluid in such a way that the joints are completely immersed. The position of the
30、test piece is not critical, provided the minimum distance of the joints between each other and the sides and bottom of the container is 10 mm. The exposure time shall be estimated from the time the test fluid has reached the test temperature specified in the table 1. Each test shall start with fresh
31、 fluid that shall not be changed during the test. 8.2 Cleaning Immediately after exposure, the test pieces shall be cleaned with water (maximum temperature 35 OC) and dried with clean dry cloths. 8.3 Destructive testing Destructive testing shall be carried out according to the relevant test method s
32、tandard (and after 24 h, but within 30 h, after removal from the exposure). Conditioning during this period of time shall take place at standard atmosphere according to EN 2743. Reference test pieces shall be destructively tested within three days or the final cure. 9 Expression of results 9.1 Singl
33、e lap shear tests The shear strength per test piece is to be carried out according to EN 2243-1. The reduction percentage RT of the aged test pieces compared with the reference test pieces shall be calculated as follows: R, = (z, - T)/T, .IO0 % where: Average shear strength of all reference test pie
34、ces; Average shear strength of all aged test pieces. 71 T2 9.2 Peel test - metallmetal 9.2.1 The peel strength per test piece is to be carried out according to EN 2243-2. 35、ith the reference test pieces shall be calculated as follows: RF = (Fi - F2)lFi.l O0 % where : F1 Fi Average shear strength of all reference test pieces; Average shear strength of all aged test pieces. 9.2.2 Calculation of attacked area Remove the thin peel sheet by peeling the remaining portion of
36、the test piece by hand or other means. Judge the adhesive faced side of the thick (1,6 rnm) adherent without any removal of adhesive as follows: - All areas where the thick adherent only has been corroded are clearly shown as the adhesive has been removed by the thin adherent. - All areas where the
37、thin adherent only, or both thin and thick adherents have been attacked are recognised by corrosion residues on the adhesive surface or by a sudden change in type of failure. Establish in crnz the bond line area that has been changed by corrosion and/or hydration of the metal su rfa ce. Establishing
38、 of the attacked area A, can be done with the aid of transparent graph paper. Calculate the percentage of attacked area as follows: A, = A1/A2.100% where: Al A2 Total area of attacked surface; Total area of bonded joint. 9.3 Shear stress and shear strain tests 9.3.1 The shear strength per test piece
39、 is to be carried out according to EN 2243-6. The reduction percentage RT of the aged test pieces compared with the reference test pieces shall be calculated as follows: Calculation of reduction in shear stress RZ = (T - T)/T,. 100 % where: T z, Average shear strength of all reference test pieces; A
40、verage shear strength of all aged test pieces. 9.3.2 The elastic shear modulus per test piece is to be carried out according to EN 2243-6. The reduction percentage RG of the aged test pieces compared with the reference test pieces shall be calculated as follows: Calculation of reduction in elastic s

44、uring time and temperature: - information about individual test piece including traceability from panel; - expression of individual results; - in case of multiple tests: - number of test pieces; - average, standard deviation, maximum and minimum values of the test series. - traceability to personnel performing the test work; - any incident which may have affected the result; - any deviation from this standard described in detail; - date of test.
