19、l standard Standard specifying a series of technical requirements relating to a metallic material, semi-finished product, according to one or more delivery conditions and one use condition. % 3.2 Metallic material A metal or alloy characterised by one basic chemical composition within specified limi
20、ts. 3.3 Family of metallic materials A group of metallic materials characterised by a base element or group of base elements in several different semi-finished product forms : - aluminium and aluminium alloys, - magnesium alloys, - heat resisting alloys (nickel or cobalt or chromium or iron base), -
21、 titanium and titanium alloys, - steel, - filler metal for brazing. 3.4 Semi-finished products A generic term used to indicate that the material as supplied does not necessarily have any relation to the exact form, dimensions or condition in which that material is used as a final component. This ter
22、m may refer to one of the following: WE - wrought products characterised by their form within a range of standardized dimensions (bar, sheet, etc.), - products of non-standardized form and dimensions produced by the same metallurgical - blanks manufactured from the products stated above, of non-stan
23、dardized form and technique (forging stock, remelting stock, powder metallurgy, etc.), dimension (forgings, castings, etc.). 3.5 Type of semi-finished product Semi-finished product forms (sheet, plate, bar, etc.) associated with the relevant family of metallic materials. 3.6 Elements of the chemical
24、 composition 3.6.1 Alloying elements Elements other than base metal the mass content of which is expressed by means of a range. 3.6.2 Minor elements Elements the variation of mass content of wich does not affect its typical characteristics. 3.6.3 Trace elements Elements not intentionally added to th
25、e melt cast. I, 3.8 Inspection schedule See EN 2078. 3.9 Manufacturing schedule See EN 2078. 4 The use of metallic material EN aerospace standards The material standard is the leader document that provides the basis of understanding between purchase
27、r and manufacturer. The necessary data and technical information to identify and give the requirements for a semi-finished product are stated by: - coded conventional designations, according to EN 2032-1, EN 2032-2 and EN 2600, - reference to appropriate dimensional standards, - technical requiremen
28、ts specific to the material standards, - specific tests called for by the technical requirements, in accordance with the test method standards, - requirements in accordance with the technical specification specified in the material standards, - in the case of non-standardized requirements, details s
29、hall be specified on the drawing, order, inspection schedule or the manufacturing schedule, in accordance with the technical specification. 5 Instructions for drafting of metallic material EN aerospace standards 5.1 Page 1 : Title of the material standard The title shall give sufficient information
30、to unambiguously identify the semi-finished product, in the use condition and heat treatment (see 5.4.7). Consequently : 1. the same title shall not be used for different material standards. 2. overlapping of mechanical property limits for otherwise identical material standards shall not be permitte
31、d. Each part shall form one or several different lines : - aerospace series, - the family of metallic material, followed by the designation of the metallic material in - method of melting, if appropriate, - use condition and heat treatment, - the forms written in singular, or plural, in conformity w

33、oreword, if necessary. 5.3 Page 3 - Clause O : Introduction This clause shall read: “For the use of this standard, see EN 2500-2 or EN 2500-3 or EN 2500-4 or EN 2500-5 or EN 2500-6.“ - Clause 1 : Scope This clause shall read : “This standard specifies the requirements relating ta (repeat all informa
34、tion from the title in a grammatical sequence that satisfies the language used) for aerospace applications. “ If necessary, further information may be added to clarify the field of application. - Clause 2 : Normative references This clause shall give the list of documents, with their titles, to whic
35、h reference is made in the text. 5.4 Page 4 : corresponds to form 1 given in annex A. Form 1 is a fixed format. If there is insufficient space : - on a line, use reference indices. ; - repeat the lines) ; - on a page, extend the width to IS0 A3 format. All lines that are completed are mandatory requ
36、irements and shall be the subject of the relevant test. If acceptance criteria differ from that specified in the technical specification or the test method, the criteria of the material standard shall override the requirements of the technical specification or test method. The absence of an entry in
37、 a line indicates that there is no requirement and that a corresponding test is not carried out, even if this test is referenced in the technical specification. A hyphen shall be marked on those lines that are not required. Other requirements (test method, frequency of testing, sample condition, def
38、inition of test piece, heat treatment condition, testing condition) are specified either in the technical specification or the test method called up by that technical specification, referenced on line 5.1. Duplication of information between the material standard technical specification and test meth
39、od standard shall be avoided. Values other than those mentioned on tines 2, 12, 19, 21, 23 and 25 shall be preceded by a sign depending on whether they are minimum or maximum values (, s, 2). Symbols for sizes and units: See IS0 31-0, IS0 31-1, IS0 31-3,ISO 31-4, IS0 31-9, IS0 31-11 and IS0 1000. Sp

41、ccordance with EN 2032-1. 5.4.2 Page 4, line 2 : Chemical composition The chemical symbols of the elements shall be written in the first line of boxes, in accordance with established conventions (see IS0 31 -9). The second line of boxes shall indicate the minimum content of that element. The third l
42、ine of boxes shall indicate the maximum content of that element. The range of alloying elements shall be explicity defined by the specified values in the second and third line of the boxes. Trace elements shall be indicated as follows : - identified elements indicate maximum limit, - unidentified el
43、ements indicate as “others“, “each“, “total“ For each element shown, the absence of a value shall be indicated by means of a hyphen. All values shall be expressed in mass percentage. When very low values are expressed in mass parts per million, a reference index shall be used to define the abbreviat
44、ion “p.p.m.“. The following rules shall be observed for the value V : - V min. or V max. 0,Ol % express V min. and V express in %. The number of decimal places written shall be consistent with the accuracy required. in “p.p.m.“, The base metal shall be indicated in the last column of the second line

46、 melting This line describes the method(s1 of melting as applicable. 5.4.4 Page 4, line 4 : Form, Method of production, Limit dimensions - Form The form or similar forms of the products covered by the standard shall be specified. - Method of Droduction : The method or methods of production shall be
