It is published for the needs of the European Aeros

4、pace Industry. It has been technically approved by the experts of the concerned Domain following member comments. 12、tandard specifies a method of determining the ability of elements of connection to withstand sinusoidal or random vibrations of specified severities. It will be used together with EN 2591-100. This test is based on EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-64. 2 Normative references The following documents, in wh

17、nd random (digital control) and guidance 3 Preparation of specimens 3.1 Preparation Specimens shall be prepared according to the technical specification. prEN 2591-403:2016 (E) 4 3.2 Technical details - Technical specification Unless specified in the technical specification, the following details sh

18、all be stated: mounting method, type of cable and definition of specimen wiring; specimens mated or unmated and fitted with protective covers (if applicable); number of mating and unmating operations (if applicable); type of accessories to be fitted on specimens; initial measurements and requirement

19、s, (if applicable); fixing points of sensors on specimens (if applicable); test severity: sinusoidal or random vibration curve (method A Figure 1 or method B Figure 2 or Figure 3); temperature (maximum, minimum and ambient); duration. mating and unmating forces; applicable contact resistance test (E

20、N 2591-201 or EN 2591-202); final measurements (if applicable). 4 Method A Sinusoidal vibration 4.1 EN 60068-2-6 This test method is to be performed in accordance with the requirements of EN 60068-2-6. 4.2 Apparatus The vibration apparatus shall meet the requirements Clause 4 of EN 60068-2-6. 4.3 In

21、itial measurements Initial measurements shall be carried out as specified in the technical specification. 4.4 Procedure 4.4.1 Endurance The specimens shall be subjected to endurance by sweeping as detailed in EN 60068-2-6, 8.2.1 at the levels specified in the product standard. 4.4.2 Test duration Th

22、e entire frequency range of 5 Hz to 3000 Hz and return to 5 Hz shall be swept in 20 min. This cycle shall be performed 12 times in each of three axes so that test duration shall be approximately 12 h. prEN 2591-403:2016 (E) 5 4.5 Preferred vibration levels 4.5.1 General The product standard should i

23、ndicate one or more of the following severities. 4.5.2 Level 1 Over the frequency range 5 Hz to 3000 Hz, constant amplitude of 0,7 mm, or constant acceleration of 10 g, (cross-over frequency 59,6 Hz) whichever is the lesser. 4.5.3 Level 2 Over the frequency range 5 Hz to 3000 Hz, constant amplitude

24、of 1,0 mm, or constant acceleration of 10 g, (cross-over frequency 70,5 Hz) whichever is the lesser, 4.5.4 Level 3 Over the frequency range 5 Hz to 3000 Hz, constant amplitude of 1,0 mm, or constant acceleration of 10 g, (cross-over frequency 70,5 Hz) whichever is the lesser up to a frequency of 119

25、,1 Hz, followed by constant amplitude of 0,35 mm, or 30 g, (cross-over frequency 145,9 Hz) whichever is the lesser. 26、o be performed in accordance with the requirements of EN 60068-2-64. 5.2 Apparatus The vibration apparatus shall satisfy the requirements for testing of Clause 4 of EN 60068-2-64. 5.3 Initial measurements They shall be carried out as specified in the technical specification. 5.4 Procedure The vibrat

27、ion test shall be performed in accordance with 8.1, Method 2 of EN 60068-2-64. Initial, and final response investigations are not required. 5.5 Preferred vibration levels 5.5.1 Vibration monitoring The vibration magnitude shall be monitored as near as possible to the specimen fixing points to confir

28、m compliance with the specified vibration curve at all measuring points. The specimens shall be vibrated in each of the three axes perpendicular between them, one axis being parallel to the coupling axis. Unless otherwise specified measurements to EN 2591-204 (Method B) shall be carried out on conta

29、cts and (if applicable) the shielding connection. No discontinuity higher or equal to 1 s shall be observed. Discontinuities lower than 1 s are admissible provided their repetition rate does not exceed 1 Hz. 5.5.2 Random vibration severity The test severity is given by a combination of spectral shap

33、, 1,5 h or 8 h as specified in the technical specification for each of the three axes. 5.6 Final measurements (if applicable) The specimens shall be subjected to the following test sequence: EN 2591-101; EN 2591-408; EN 2591-201 or EN 2591-202. 6 Method C High vibration endurance 6.1 Test methods Ea

34、ch sample pair consists of a flange mounted receptacle with a minimum of 1000 mm of cable and a free plug with a minimum of 1000 mm of cable. The harness shall be “open wire” construction. The coupling torque of the connectors is defined in the relevant technical specification. The cables shall be c

35、lipped using clips selected to suit the harness bundle. The clipping bracket and first clipping position shall be 250 mm from the connector test bracket and mounted free of the vibration assembly. The bracket shall be 50 x 50 mm L section, 6 mm thick. The weight of the bracket shall be less than 1 k

36、g. Dimensions in millimetres Figure 4 All contacts shall be wired in series and connected to a continuity monitor. Mark the alignment of coupling nut and connector body with an ink line when fully coupled (prior to commencing the test) to determine any uncoupling during the test. prEN 2591-403:2016

37、(E) 10 6.2 Test specification Each cable shall be monitored for continuity. This shall be performed by passing a current of less than 1 mA at a voltage of 5 V. The system shall be capable of detecting a break in continuity of 1 s and capable of monitoring all channels simultaneously. 43 Hz 337,8 mm/

39、rformance requirements The connector shall not have any discontinuities during the test. Connectors shall not uncouple to any degree during the test. When the connectors are uncoupled for internal visual examination, care shall be taken to avoid the displacement of any dust, deposits or particles th

40、at may be present on the seal, contacts or adjacent interface areas. There shall be no loose particles or debris. When dismantled, the connector pins and sockets shall show no signs of excessive chafing i. e. the contact parent metal shall not be exposed in any areas, contact profiles (not including

41、 the crimp zone) shall remain concentric and regular, and the contacts shall not be coated in any deposits. The interfacial seal shall be undamaged and there shall be no visible gaps between the pin contact and the interfacial seal. The interfacial seal shall be free from any deposits. The connector shall show no signs of damage i. e. loosening or detachment of component parts If applicable, the specimens shall be subjected to the following additional tests: EN 2591-408; EN 2591-201 or EN 2591-202.
