9、ilies of couplers used in the composition of the transmission lines of multiplex databus systems. It specifies the conditions of qualification, of acceptance, and of quality assurance. This standard is applicable to all in line couplers conforming to STANAG 3838. These couplers can be used in electr

The enclosure may contain one or two cou
18、plers. Couplers shall be connected to the databus cable during manufacture. 5 Required characteristics Since the coupler is magnetic, care should be taken in selecting its location in relation to other equipment. 5.1 Specification of electrical components 5.1.1 Transformers shall meet the electrical
19、 performance requirements of Mlt-T-21038 type to be defined in the product standard. The turns ratio shall be 1 :1,41 +3 Oh with the higher turns on the isolation resistor side. 5.1.2 Resistors shall be non-inductive and of an established reliability type to meet the requirements of 7.3. 5.1.3 Cable
20、s shall meet the performance requirements of EN 3375-001. 6 Dimensions and weights The general dimensions and weights are given standards. 22、 in 5.1 are qualified to the standards or have been tested to show compliance. 40、dance with MIL-HDBK-217 and defined in the product standard. The manufacturer shall carry out and record the calculation. 8 Quality assurance 8.1 See EN 3042. 8.2 Conditions of qualification The qualification of a product is obtained : - once the product specimens defined in 8.2.1, have successfully
41、 completed the tests relative to groups O to 8 and the reliability requirements specified in 7.3, - by extension of the qualification to products similar to the one already qualified. This extension may be obtained after successfull completion of a reduced number of complementary tests. The extensio
42、n shall be possible only when materials, manufacturing process and production tooling are identical for the product already qualified and the product to be qualified by extension, - when a test requires the attachment of a specimen to a harness for measurements ; the composing elements of the harnes
43、s, SuGh as bus terminator, stub terminator and cable splice- if tested together with the specimen, can be listed in the test report, which then shall be valid for their own qualification. 8.2.1 Sampling and specimen definition See table 2. 44、uction has been qualified, the two other shall be qualified by extension as per 8.2. The tests of the following groups shall be done : groups O, 1, 2, 6. The number of specimens required is then reduced to six per new construction. 8.2.2 Preparation of specimens For ali groups requiring the transmis
45、sion test the specimen shall be inserted in a cable system in accordance with the test configuration shown in EN 2591-G6. For the surface transfer impedance test the specimen shall be prepared in accordance with the test configuration shown in EN 2591 -G8. After the last test requiring a transmissio
46、n test is completed, the coupler shall be removed from the cable system in order to conduct the specified electrical measurements.
