It is published on green paper for the needs

4、of AECMA-Members. It has been technically approved by the experts of the concerned Technical Committee following comment by the Member countries. Subsequent to the publication of this Prestandard, the technical content shall not be changed to an extent that interchangeability is affected, physically

5、 or functionally, without re-identification of the standard. After examination and signature of the AECMA Standard Checking Centre (NPS) and formal agreement of the Official Services of the Member countries it will be submitted as a draft European Standard to CEN (European Committee for Standardizat

It shall be used together with EN 3745-100. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorporates by dated or u

8、ndated reference provisions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text and the publications are listed hereafter. For dated references, subsequent amendments to or revisions of any of these publications apply to this European Standard only whe

9、n incorporated in it by amendment or revision. For undated references the latest edition of the publication referred to applies. EN 3745-100 Aerospace series - Fibres and cables, optical, aircraft use - Test methods - Part 100: General 1 I 3 Characteristics to be examined 3.1 General The type and le

10、ngth of cable/fibre from which the specimen is taken shall be as specified in the product specification. 3.2 Optical fibre 3.2.1 The fibre shall have the correct identification colour coating if specified in the product standard. 3.2.2 splits, or blisters. The coating shall be continuous and free of

11、 visible defects such as lumps, abrasions, cracks, 3.3 Optical cable 3.3.1 The cable shall have the correct identification colour if specified in the product standard. 3.3.2 The cable shall be marked in accordance with the product standard. 3.3.3 dust, grease, or oil. The cable shall be free from di

12、scoloration due to overheating or foreign materials such as 3.3.4 The cable jacket (sheath) and/or coating shall not be scorched. 3.3.5 The cable jacket and/or coatings shall be free from delaminations and voids. 3.3.6 diameter in excess of the specified maximum or minimum outside diameter. 15、roduct standard, visual examination shall be made by the following methods: - by a 10 X magnifying lens for the inspection of optical fibres; - by a naked eye of normal vision, or normally corrected, for the inspection of optical cables. The test specimen shall be placed flat on the workbench. The test specimen shall be visually examined at a distance of not more than 0,3 m, if not using a magnifying device.
