10、o thisspecification shall conform to Specification A962/A962M,including any supplementary requirements indicated on thepurchase order. Failure to comply with Specification A962/A962M constitutes non-conformance with this specification. Ifthe requirements of this specification conflict with those ofS

Manufacture5.1 Melting ProcessAlloy shall be multiple melted usingconsumable electrode practice in the remelt cycle or shall beinduction melted under vacuum. If consumable electroderemelting is not performed in vacu

16、en, PA 19428-2959, United States.5.2 Heat Treatment:5.2.1 Solution TreatmentMaterial shall be solution heattreated at a temperature within the range of 1725 to 1850 F940 to 1010 C, held at the selected temperature for a timecommensurate with cross-sectional thickness, and cooled at arate equivalent

17、to an air cool or faster.5.2.1.1 Temperature VariationSolution treating tempera-tures shall be controlled in the range of 6 25 F 6 14 C.5.2.2 Precipitation Heat TreatmentMaterial shall beheated to a temperature of 1325 F 720 C, held at tempera-ture for eight hours minimum, furnace cooled to 1150 F 6

18、20C at 100 F 55 C per hour, held at temperature for eighthours, and cooled to room temperature. Alternatively, materialmay be furnace cooled to 1150 F 620 C at any rate providedthe time at 1150 F 620 C is adjusted so the total precipi-tation heat treatment time is 18 hours minimum.5.2.2.1 Temperatur

19、e VariationPrecipitation treatmenttemperatures and cooling rates shall be controlled in the rangeof 6 15 F 6 8 C.5.3 StraighteningWhen straightening is necessary it shallbe done after solution treating and prior to aging. Straighteningafter aging is prohibited.5.4 ThreadsThreads shall be formed by r

20、olling in onepass after oxides have been removed from the area to bethreaded.5.5 Dimensions and Tolerances, BoltingFully heat treatedmaterial shall meet the dimensional requirements of Specifi-cation B637 for UNS N07718.6. Chemical Composition6.1 Remelt IngotsThe chemical analyses of each remeltedin

21、got shall conform to the requirements for chemical compo-sition prescribed in Table 1.6.2 Product AnalysisIf a product (check) analysis isperformed by the purchaser, the material shall conform to theproduct (check) analysis variations prescribed in SpecificationB880.7. Mechanical Properties7.1 Tensi

22、le and HardnessAll testing shall be performedafter aging. The test specimens shall meet the requirements ofTable 2.7.2 Stress RuptureStress rupture testing shall be con-ducted in accordance with Table 2 using a combination test barin accordance with Test Methods E292. Rupture must occur inthe smooth

23、 section of each test specimen.7.3 Headed FastenersIn addition to 7.1 and 7.2, headedfasteners with body length three times the diameter or longershall be subjected to full size tensile test in accordance withAnnex A3 of Test Methods and Definitions A370 and shallconform to the tensile strength show

For headed fastenerswith a body length less than three times the diameter aseparately forged test bar may be used for tensile and
