General Requirements3.1 Product furnished under this specification shall conformto the requirements of Specification A1016/A1016M, includ-ing any supplementary requirements that are indicated in thepurchase order. Failure to comply wi
7、th the general require-ments of Specification A1016/A1016M constitutes nonconfor-mance with this specification. In case of conflict with therequirements of this specification and Specification A1016/A1016M, this specification shall prevail.4. Materials and Manufacture4.1 Steelmaking PracticeThe stee
8、l shall be killed.4.2 The tubes shall be made by the seamless process andshall be either hot-finished or cold-finished, as specified.4.3 Heat TreatmentHot-finished tubes shall be heat treatedat a temperature of 1200 F 650 C or higher. Cold-finishedtubes shall, after the final cold finishing, be heat
9、 treated at atemperature of 1200 F 650 C or higher, or tubing may befurnished in the full-annealed, isothermal annealed, or normal-ized and tempered condition. If furnished in the normalizedand tempered condition, the minimum tempering temperatureshall be 1200 F 650 C.5. Chemical Composition5.1 The
10、steel shall conform to the requirements given inTable 1.5.2 Product Analysis5.2.1 An analysis shall be made by the manufacturer of onebillet or one tube from each heat. The chemical compositionthus determined, shall conform to the requirements given inTable 1.5.2.2 If the original test for product a
11、nalysis fails, retests oftwo additional billets or tubes shall be made. Both retests forthe elements in question shall meet the requirements of thespecification; otherwise all remaining material in the heat or lot(See 7.1) shall be rejected or, at the option of the producer, eachbillet or tube may b
12、e individually tested for acceptance. Sampling7.1 Flattening, Flaring, and Product AnalysisForflattening, flaring, and product analysis requirements, the termlot applies to all tubes prior to cutting of the s
20、ame nominal sizeand wall thickness that are produced from the same heat ofsteel. When final heat treatment is in a batch-type furnace, a lotshall include only those tubes of the same size and from thesame heat that are heat treated in the same furnace charge.When the final heat treatment is in a con
21、tinuous furnace, thenumber of tubes of the same size and from the same heat in alot shall be determined from the size of the tubes given in Table5.7.2 Tension and Hardness TestsFor tension and hardnesstests, the term lot applies to all tubes prior to cutting, of thesame nominal diameter and wall thi

When final heat treatment is in abatch-type furnace, a lot shall include only those tubes of thesame size and the same heat that are heat treated in the samefurnace charge. Forming Operations8.1 Tubes when inse
30、rted in the boiler shall stand expandingand beading without showing cracks or flaws. Superheatertubes when properly manipulated shall stand all forging,welding, and bending operations necessary for applicationwithout developing defects.9. Product Marking9.1 In addition to the marking prescribed in S
31、pecificationA1016/A1016M, the marking shall include whether the tube ishot-finished or cold-finished.10.
