These requirements out-line the testing and retesting methods and procedures, permis-sible variations in dimensions a

10、nd weight, quality and repair ofdefects, marking, loading, and ordering information.3.2 In addition to the basic requirements of this specifica-tion, certain supplementary requirements are available whenadditional control, testing, or examination is required to meetend use requirements. The purchase

11、r is referred to the listedsupplementary requirements in this specification and to thedetailed requirements in Specification A20/A20M.3.3 If the requirements of this specification are in conflictwith the requirements of Specification A20/A20M, the require-ments of this specification shall prevail.4.

Heat Treatment5.1 Except for Grade 91, all plates shall be thermally treatedeither by annealing, normalizing- and -tempering, or, whenpermitted by the purchaser, accelerated cooling from theausten

16、itizing temperature by air blasting or liquid quenching,followed by tempering. Minimum tempering temperaturesshall be as follows:Grade Temperature, F C2, 12, and 11 1150 62022, 22L, 21, 21L, and 9 1250 6755 1300 7055.1.1 Grade 91 plates shall be normalized at 1900 to 1975F1040 to 1080C and shall be

17、tempered at 1350 to 1470F730 to 800C.5.2 Grade 5, 9, 21, 21L, 22, 22L, and 91 plates orderedwithout the heat treatment required by 5.1 shall be furnished ineither the stress-relieved or the annealed condition.5.3 For plates ordered without the heat treatment requiredby 5.1, heat treatment of the pla

18、tes to conform to 5.1 and toTable 1 or Table 2, as applicable, shall be the responsibility ofthe purchaser.6. Chemical Requirements6.1 The steel shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition shown in Table 3 unless otherwisemodified in accordance with Supplementary Requirement S17,Vacu

19、um Carbon-Deoxidized Steel, in Specification A20/A20Mfor grades other than Grade 11.7. Metallurgical Structure7.1 Austenitic Grain SizeGrade 2 material shall have acoarse austenitic grain size.8.
