Manufacture5.1 The material shall be made by vacuum melting followedby consumable electrode vacuum arc or electroslag remeltingas agreed upon between producer and user.5.2 The forgings shall be upset forged so that the axis of thedisk corresponds with that of the ingot.6. Chemical Requ

11、irements6.1 Heat AnalysisEach heat shall be analyzed by themanufacturer in accordance with Specification A 788/A 788M.The chemical composition shall conform to the requirementsspecified in Table 1.6.2 Product AnalysisThe purchaser may obtain a productanalysis, representing each heat or multiple heat

Mechanical Properties7.1 The forgings shall conform to the mechanical pr

15、opertyrequirements specified in Table 2 after heat treatment asprescribed in 4.1.7.2 Tension and HardnessTension and hardness testingshall be conducted in accordance with Specification A 788/A 788M.7.3 Stress Rupture:7.3.1 Combination smooth and notched bar specimens using0.252 in. 6.4 mm diameter b

16、ars shall be tested to rupture inaccordance with Test Methods E 292. Rupture must occur inthe smooth section of each specimen.After 100 h, samples maybe uploaded in 5-ksi 35-MPa increments in 8 to 16 hintervals.7.3.2 Material supplied as Type 1 shall meet the stressrupture requirements specified in

17、Table 3.7.3.3 Material supplied as Type 2 shall meet the stressrupture requirements of either Test A or Test B of Table 3 asspecified by the purchaser.7.4 Creep:7.4.1 A creep test shall be performed in accordance withTest Methods E 139 on a 0.252 in. 6.4 mm diameter smoothbar.7.4.2 The material shal

18、l meet the requirements specified inTable 4 after heat treatment as prescribed in 4.1.7.5 Number of TestsThe testing frequency shall be asfollows with a lot being defined as not more than 50 pieces ofthe same part made from the same heat of material to the sameforging parameters, forged within an 8

19、h period, and heattreated together:7.5.1 For forgings weighing less than 500 lb 225 kg each,one tension, stress rupture, and creep test shall be made on oneforging per lot. In addition, two hardness tests shall be made oneach piece in the lot.7.5.2 For forgings weighing 500 to 2000 lb 225 to 900 kgo

20、ne tension, stress rupture, and creep test, and two hardnesstests shall be made on each forging.7.5.3 For forgings weighing over 2000 lb 900 kg testingshall be performed as covered in Supplementary RequirementS1. In addition, one tangential tension, stress rupture, and creeptest shall be run on mate

21、rial taken from the forging hub.7.6 Test Location:7.6.1 The tension, stress rupture, and creep specimenscovered in 7.5.1 and 7.5.2 shall be machined from tangentialbars taken from the forging rim.7.6.2 Hardness tests shall be taken on both the rim and hub.8. Microstructure8.1 The forgings shall have

22、 an average grain size of number4 or finer as determined in accordance with Test MethodsE112. The material shall be of a uniform microstructure, freeof phase or compound formations such as a continuous grainboundary film.8.2 One test per lot is required for forgings weighing lessthan 500 lb 225 kg e

23、ach. One test per forging is required onall other forgings.8.3 The microstructural examination may be performed onmaterial taken from the non-deformed grip section of aperipheral tensile test specimen or on a separate sample takenfrom the peripheral area of a forging.9. Non-Destructive Examinations9

24、.1 Ultrasonic Examination:9.1.1 Each forging shall be subjected to ultrasonic exami-nation.9.1.2 The method of ultrasonic examination and acceptancelevel shall be agreed upon between the purchaser and manu-facturer.9.2 Liquid Penetrant ExaminationEach forging shall besubjected to liquid penetrant ex

25、amination using one of themethods outlined in Test Method E 165. The specific testprocedure and acceptance level shall be as agreed upon by thepurchaser and manufacturer.10. Quality10.1 The forgings shall be uniform in quality and condition,clean, sound, and free of cracks, seams, laps, shrinkage, a

Certification and Reports11

29、.1 Certifications shall be furnished in accordance withSpecification A 788/A 788M.11.2 The report shall include the results of the chemicalanalysis(ses), microstructural examination, the date, drawingnumber, melt practice used, ingot number and position or serialnumber and the name of the manufactur

30、er. It shall also includethe test parameters and results of the tensile, creep, stress-rupture, and hardness testing as well as the ultrasonic andliquid penetrant examination results.12. Product Marking12.1 Each forging shall be legibly stamped by the manufac-turer in accordance with Specification A

31、 788/A 788M. Mark-ings shall include the ingot number and position or serialnumber, part number, and purchase order number.13. Number of TestsS1.1 Two tension and stress rupture tests shall be made oneach forging weighing less than 2000 lb 900 kg. Each set oftes

33、ts shall be machined from tangential bars located 180 aparton the forging rim.S1.2 One creep test shall be made on each forging weighingless than 2000 lb 900 kg. Test material shall be taken from thesame location as that for one of the sets of test bars covered inS1.1.S1.3 One microstructural examin

34、ation shall be performedon each forging in accordance with 8.1.S1.4 A product analysis of each forging shall be made bythe manufacturer in accordance with Specification A 788/A 788M and shall conform to the requirements of Table 1.S2. Stress RuptureS2.1 The stress rupture tests conditions shall be 1
