Chemical Composition7.1 The heat chemical composition shall be reported to thepurchaser, or his representative, and shall conform to therequirements specified in the applicable ASTM standard of thesteel type selected for texturing.7.2 M
31、ethods and practices relating to chemical analysisrequired by this specification shall be in accordance with TestMethods, Practices, and Terminology A751.8. Other Requirements8.1 If requested by the purchaser, physical (electrical andoptical) and mechanical (tensile, yield, and elongation) prop-erty
32、 requirements shall be reported to the purchaser based on alot size as specified in 8.2.8.2 A lot shall consist of all sheets of the same thicknessmade from the same coil. In case the material cannot beidentified by coil, a lot shall consist of no more than 5000 kg(approximately 5 tons) of sheets of
33、 the same thickness.8.3 Electrical Requirements:8.3.1 The specific resistivity of the material measured at20C to be reported in ohmsmm2/m (cm).8.3.2 The surface resistivity of the material measured at20C to be reported in milliohms. Refer to Test Methods D257.8.4 Optical RequirementsThe textured sur
34、face of the ma-terial selected under this specification shall meet the inspectionrequirements (see 13.2) based on a visual sample comparisonor a 6:1 art master pattern comparison, or both.8.5 Mechanical RequirementsThe mechanical properties,tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation of the mat
35、erialselected for texturing shall be reported in values specified in12.5 of this specification.9. Dimensions, Mass, and Permissible Variations9.1 Unless noted in the purchase order, the stated toleranceconditions in Tables 1-5 are deemed to be acceptable.9.2 Table 1 lists the tolerance for sheet thi
36、ckness relevant tothe preferred thickness sizes of textured sheets in this specifi-cation.9.3 Table 2 lists the tolerance for sheet widths relevant tothe preferred width sizes of textured sheets in this specification.9.4 Table 3 lists the tolerance for sheet lengths relevant tothe preferred length s
37、izes in this specification.9.5 Table 4 lists the permissible tolerance for sheet flatnessrelevant to the preferred flatness tolerances in this specificationas a ratio of: deviation “D ” to length “L” and width “W”oftextured sheet. (See 10.5.)9.6 Table 5 lists the maximum permissible difference be-tw
38、een the diagonal dimensions “AA” and “BB” of the texturedsheet. (See 10.6 and Fig. 1.)9.7 The maximum permissible deviation of the edge camber“D” for textured sheets is 0.2 % of the nominal length of thesheet. (See 10.6)10. Measurement10.1 Unless otherwise stated, the measurement of the geo-metrical
39、 requirements shall be based on the definition outlinedin Section 10.10.2 ThicknessThe thickness (texture included) may bemeasured at any point located more than 20 mm from theedges.10.3 WidthThe width is measured perpendicularly to thelongitudinal axis of the product.10.4 LengthThe length is measur
40、ed along one of the sidesof the sheet or cut length.10.5 FlatnessThe measurement of the flatness deviation(pockets) is made according to the pictorial representation “A”and “B”, see Fig. 2. The sheet is lying on a flat surface with theconcave side upward.10.6 Edge CamberThe edge camber is the greate
41、st devia-tion of a side edge from a straight line, the measurement beingtaken on the concave side with a straight edge (see Fig. 3).11. Workmanship11.1 Textured sheets shall be uniform in quality and condi-tion and free of injurious defects, that due to their nature orseverity, may detrimentally aff
42、ect the suitability for the serviceintended.12. General Requirements for Delivery12.1 Unless otherwise specified in the purchase order, thematerials furnished under this specification shall conform toapplicable requirements of the current edition of SpecificationA480/A480M or, if applicable, to DIN
43、17441.12.2 If requested by the purchaser, material shall be deliv-ered with a protective liner of either polyvinyl (PVC) orpolyethylene (PE) on the textured side of the sheet. However,if a protective liner is being specified it must not be detrimen-tally affected by ultraviolet (UV) or temperature e
44、xposure, orboth, up to 70C. Inspection13.1 Unless otherwise sp
47、ecified in the purchase order, theseller agrees to perform all the tests and inspections as outlinedin Section 11, demonstrating conformity to the applicablerelevant conditions or standards in a test report at the time ofthe initial purchase order.13.2 AppearanceThe textured and untextured surfacess
48、hall match the appearance of the purchasers control sample orthat of a designated control sample agreed upon between bothparties, when viewed with the unaided eye from a distance of1 m by daylight.13.2.1 If there is a substantial disagreement between theseller and the purchaser on the appearance, th
49、e followinginspection shall become the tie breaker.13.2.1.1 The precision of the texture, as defined in Table 6,shall be established by comparing an art-master (100 mm by100 mm) magnified 6:1 (600 mm by 600 mm), provided by thepurchaser, with a photographic enlargement, 6:1, of theproduct, provided by the seller. See Fig. 4 for example. (Not toscale.)13.2.1.2 The precision of the gloss shall be established bycomparing the measured values of gloss of the control samplewith the production sample.
