Material and Manufacture6.1 MaterialThe material shall be made from cast orwrought billets, logs or rods of Copper Alloy UNS Nos.C71000, C74500, C75200, C75700, C76400, C77000, orC79200, and shall be of such soundness and structure as toenable them to be processed into the desired produ

18、ct.6.2 ManufactureThe product shall be manufactured bysuch hot-working, cold-working, straightening, coiling or reel-ing and annealing processing needed to produce a uniformwrought structure and obtain the finish properties specified inthe purchase order or contract.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The ma

19、terial shall conform to the chemical composi-tional requirements in Table 1 for the Copper Alloy UNS No.specified in the ordering information:7.1.1 These compositional limits do not preclude the pres-ence of other elements. When required, limits may be estab-lished and analysis required for unnamed

20、elements by agree-ment between the supplier and the purchaser.7.2 For UNS No. C71000, in which copper is listed as theremainder, the copper content may be determined as thedifference between the sum of results for all elements analyzedand 100 %.7.3 For those copper alloys in which zinc is specified

21、as theremainder, either copper or zinc may be taken as the differencebetween the sum of all elements analyzed and 100 %. Whencopper is so determined, that difference value shall conform tothe requirements given in Table 1.7.4 When all elements listed in Table 1 for the CopperAlloyUNS No. prescribed

22、in the ordering information are deter-mined, the sum of results shall be 99.5 % minimum.8. Temper8.1 Tempers, as defined in Classification B 601, available tothis specification are as prescribed in Table 2, Table 3, andTable 4 in the various alloys and sizes listed.8.2 Hexagonal, octagonal, rectangu

23、lar, and square wire arenormally furnished in H01 (quarter-hard) temper.8.3 UNS Alloy Nos. C76400 and C77000 are normallyfurnished in the H04 (hard), H08 (spring), or H14 (extraspring) tempers.9. Grain Size for Annealed Wire9.1 Product furnished in the OS (annealed) condition shallconform to the req

24、uirements specified in Table 4 for the temperand Copper Alloy UNS No. designated in the ordering infor-mation, when tested in accordance with Test Methods E112.9.1.1 Grain size shall be the standard temper test for productordered in the OS (annealed) condition and acceptance orrejection based upon g

25、rain size shall depend upon the averagegrain size test results obtained.10. Mechanical Property Requirements10.1 Tensile Strength Requirements:10.1.1 Round wire 0.020 through 0.250 in. 0.50 through6.0 mm in diameter of the Copper Alloy UNS No. specified inthe ordering information shall conform to th

26、e requirements ofTable 2 or Table 3 for the prescribed H (cold-worked) temperordered.10.1.1.1 Tensile strength shall be the standard temper testfor round wire in the size range noted above when ordered inthe H (cold-worked) condition. Acceptance or rejection basedupon mechanical properties shall dep

27、end upon the tensile testresults obtained when tested in accordance with Test MethodsE8orE8M.10.1.2 Requirements for round wire in sizes smaller than0.020 in. 0.50 mm or larger than 0.250 in. 6.0 mm shall beby agreement between the supplier and the purchaser.10.1.3 Requirements for wire other than r
