Terminology3.1 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.1.1 The terms bar and wire as used in this specification aredescribed as follows:3.1.2 bars, nhot-finished rounds, squares, octagons, andhexagons

Materials and Manufacture5.1 Heat TreatmentThe product of UNS N08020 alloyshall be furnished in the stabilized-annealed condition. Theproduct of UNS N08026 alloy shall be

13、furnished in thesolution-annealed condition. Chemical Composition6.1 The material shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition prescribed in Table 1.6.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to the product (c

18、heck)analysis variations prescribed in Specification B 880.7. Condition7.1 Bars shall be furnished annealed and either hot finishedor cold finished. Strain-hardened material is available only ascold finished.7.2 Wire will be furnished only as annealed and coldfinished.8. Mechanical Properties8.1 The

19、 material shall conform to the applicable require-ments as to mechanical properties prescribed in Table 2.9. Dimensions and Permissible Variations9.1 BarBars shall conform to the variations in dimensionsprescribed in Tables 3-11, inclusive, as applicable.9.2 WireWire shall conform to the permissible

20、 variationsin dimensions prescribed in Tables 12-16, inclusive, as appli-cable.10. Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance10.1 The product shall be uniform in quality and condition,smooth, commercially straight or flat, and free of injuriousimperfections.11. Sampling11.1 Lot:11.1.1 A lot for chemical an

21、alysis shall consist of one heat.11.1.2 A lot for mechanical properties shall consist of allmaterial from the same heat, nominal diameter or thickness, ofeach heat-treatment charge.11.2 Test Material Selection:11.2.1 Chemical AnalysisRepresentative samples shall betaken during pouring or subsequent

22、processing.11.2.1.1 Check analysis shall be wholly the responsibilityof the purchaser.11.2.2 Mechanical PropertiesSamples of the material toprovide test specimens shall be taken from such locations ineach lot as to be representative of that lot.12. Specimen Preparation13.1 Tension test specimens shall be taken from the materialafter final heat treatment, and shall be selected in the longitu-dinal direction. Test Methods14.1 The chemical composition and mechanical propertiesof the material as enumerated in this specification shall, in caseof disagreement, be determined in accordance with the follow-ing methods:Test ASTM DesignationsChemical analysis E 1473ATension E8AIron shall be determined arithmet

Inspection15.1 If specified, source inspection of the material by thepurchaser at the manufacturers plant shall be made as agreedupon between the purchaser and the manufacturer as part of thepurchase contract.16. Rejection and Rehearing16.1 Material that fails to conform to

26、the requirements ofthis specification may be rejected. Rejection should be reportedto the producer or supplier promptly and in writing. In case ofdissatisfaction with the results of the test, the producer orsupplier may make claim for a rehearing.17. Certification17.1 When specified in the purchase
