Theseproducts are furnished in three alloys: UNS N08120, UNSN08800, and UNS N08810.* Alloy UNS N08800 is employednormally in service temperatures up to and including 1100F(593C). Alloys UNS N08120 and UNS N08810 are employednormally in service temperatures
4、 above 1100F where resis-tance to creep and rupture is required, and are annealed todevelop controlled grain size for optimum properties in thistemperature range.1.2 This specification covers outside diameter and nominalwall pipe shown in ANSI B36.19. 12、ssed.6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 Pipe shall be made from flat-rolled alloy by an auto-matic welding process with no addition of filler metal. Subse-quent to welding and prior to final solution treatment, thematerial shall be cold worked either in both weld and basemetal or in weld metal only.1Th

Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition prescribed in Table 2.7.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to the product (check)analysis variations in Table 1 of Specif

Mechanical and Other Requirements8.1 Mechanical PropertiesThe material shall conform tothe requirements for mechanical properties prescribed in Table1.8.2 Grain SizeA transverse sample representing the full-wall thickness of annealed alloys UNS N08120 and N08810shall conform to an a
19、verage grain size of ASTM No. 5 orcoarser.8.3 Flattening TestPipe shall be capable of withstanding,without cracking, flattening under a load applied gradually atroom temperature until the distance between the platens is fivetimes the wall thickness. The weld shall be positioned 90 degfrom the direct
20、ion of the applied flattening force.8.4 Annealing TemperatureAlloy UNS N08120 shall beannealed at 2150F (1177C) minimum; alloy UNS N08810shall be annealed at 2050F (1120C) minimum.8.5 Nondestructive Test Requirements:8.5.1 Category 1Each piece of each lot shall be subject toone of the following four
21、 tests: hydrostatic, pneumatic (airunderwater), eddy current, or ultrasonic.8.5.2 Category 2Each piece in each lot shall be subjectedto a leak test and an electric test as follows:8.5.2.1 Leak TestHydrostatic or pneumatic (air underwa-ter).8.5.2.2 Electric TestEddy current or ultrasonic.8.6 The manu
22、facturer shall have the option to test Category1 or Category 2 and select the nondestructive test methods, ifnot specified by the purchaser.8.7 Transverse Guided Bend TestAt the option of the pipemanufacturer, the transverse guided bend test may be substi-tuted in lieu of the flattening test.
