Materials and Manufacture6.1 Material:6.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be Copper AlloyNo. C17500, C17510, or C71700 cast and worked, and of suchpurity and soundness as to be suitable for processing into the
19、products prescribed herein.6.1.2 Heat traceability shall be maintained and reported onthe Mill Test Report or Certification.6.2 Manufacture:6.2.1 The product shall be produced with a combination ofhot working, cold working, and thermal processing to producea uniform wrought structure, and the specif
20、ied temper.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the chemical requirementsspecified in Table 1.7.2 These specification limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. Limits for unnamed elements may beestablished by agreement between manufacturer or supplierand purchaser.7.3
21、 Copper may be given as remainder and may be taken asthe difference between the sum of all elements analyzed and100 %.7.4 When all the elements in Table 1 are analyzed, their sumshall be 99.5 % minimum.8. Temper8.1 Standard tempers for product described in this specifi-cation are given in Tables 2-6

Tempers are TB00 (solution heattreated), or TD02 and TD04 (varying degrees of cold work),TF00 or TH02 and TH04 (precipitation heat treated from theappropriate tempers), or TM02 and TM04 (mill hardened).9. Precipitation Heat Treatment Requirements9.1 Solution-heat-treated or solution-heat-treated a
23、nd cold-worked material is normally precipitation hardened by thepurchaser after forming or machining. For the purpose ofdetermining conformance to specified mechanical properties ofTable 3, a sample of this material shall be heat treated as shownin Table 6. Other heat-treating temperatures and time
24、s may bepreferred for end products of this material.9.2 Special combinations of properties may be obtained byspecial precipitation heat-treating techniques. Mechanicalproperty requirements of Table 3 do not apply to material sotreated.10. Mechanical Property Requirements10.1 Tensile Strength Require
