Scope1.1 This specification covers an alloy

Materials and Manufacture3.1 Raw materials shall be of such quality and purity thatthe finished product will have th

7、e properties and characteristicsprescribed in this specification.3.2 The material shall be finished by such operations (coldworking, heat treating, annealing, turning, grinding, pickling)and are required to produce the prescribed properties.4. Chemical Composition4.1 Material produced under this spe

8、cification shall meet therequirements of chemical composition shown in Table 1.5. Mechanical Properties5.1 The contract or order may specify ultimate tensilestrength, elongation, microhardness (Knoop or Vickers), hard-ness (Rockwell or Rockwell Superficial), or a combination ofthese mechanical prope

9、rties as temper criterion. If the contractor order does not specify a temper criterion, then the criterionfor temper designation will be ultimate tensile strength andelongation.5.2 The material shall conform to the mechanical propertiesshown in Table 2, Table 3,orTable 4.6. General Requirements Gene

10、ral Requirements6.1 Specification B 476 shall apply to all materials producedto this specification.7. Test Methods7.1 Test methods are in accordance with SpecificationB 476.7.2 All tension tests are in accordance with Test MethodsE8 and tensile specimens are full cross-section size whenpractical. El

11、ongation measurements should be based ona2in.(50 mm) gage length.7.3 Hardness is in accordance with Test Method E 384. Testmaterial 0.005 in. (0.13 mm) in thickness (diameter) and largerusing a 100 g indenter load. Test material less than 0.005 in. inthickness (diameter) using a 50 g indenter load.

12、Make aminimum of five hardness indentations on each specimen.Make all indentations so that the long axis of the Knoopindenter is parallel to the rolling or drawing direction of thematerial.7.4 Perform chemical analysis by spectrochemical or wetanalysis methods.1This specification is under the jurisd

When agehardening is to be done by other than the material manufacturer, the manufacturer should be consulted for the time-temperature treatment most suitable for the purchasersapplication.B 563 01 (2006)3
