Each lotshall consist of units of wire of the sa

The amount in any case shall not exceed100 production units.7.2.2 SampleA sample is a quantity of production units(coils, reels, and so forth) selected at random from the lot forthe purpose of determ

30、ation, electricalresistance, and diameter measurements, the sample shall con-sist of a quantity of production units shown in Table 2 underheading “First Sample.” From each unit, one test specimen ofsufficient length shall be removed for the performance of therequired tests.7.3.2 For surface finish a
31、nd packaging inspection, whenspecified by the purchaser at the time of placing the order, thesample shall consist of a quantity of production units as shownin Table 3.8. Conformance Criteria8.1 Any lot of wire, the samples of which comply withconformance criteria of this section, shall be considered
32、 ascomplying with the requirements of Section 5. Individualproduction units that fail to meet one or more of the require-ments shall be rejected. Failure of a sample group from a lot tomeet one or more of the following criteria shall constitutecause for rejection of the lot. The conformance criteria
33、 for eachof the prescribed properties given in Section 5 are as follows:8.1.1 For breaking strength, elongation, resistance, anddiameter measurements, the sample shall consist of a quantityof production units shown in Table 2 under heading “FirstSample.” If there are no defects, the lot shall be con
34、sidered asconforming to these requirements. If there are defects, but thenumber of these do not exceed the allowable defect number c2(Table 2) for the respective number of units in the sample, asecond sample equal to n2shall be taken and the total defectsof the n1+ n2units shall not exceed the allow
35、able defectnumber c2. Failure to meet this requirement shall constitutefailure to meet the conformance criteria (Explanatory Note 4).8.1.1.1 Breaking Strength and ElongationThe breakingstrength and elongation of each of the specimens shall conformto the requirements of 5.1 and Table 1.8.1.1.2 Electr
36、ical ResistanceThe electrical resistanceshall conform to the requirements of 5.2 and Table 1.8.1.1.3 DiameterThe diameter of each of the specimensshall conform to the requirements of 5.3.8.1.2 For surface finish and packaging, when specified bythe purchaser at the time of placing the order, the samp
37、le shallconsist of a quantity of production units as shown in Table 3.The number of units in the sample showing nonconformance tothe requirements shall not exceed the allowable defect numberc in Table 3. Failure to meet the requirements shall constitutefailure to meet the conformance criteria.9. Pac

The sample sizes and conformance criteria given for thevarious characteristics are applicable only to lots produced under theseconditions.NOTE 4A defect should be taken as the failure of the individualrequirements (breaking strength, elongation, resista
