Materials and Manufacture6.1 Materials:6.1.1 The material of ma
17、nufacture shall be a casting ofCopper Alloy UNS Nos. C93200, C93400, C93600, C93700,C93800, C94300, C94400, C94500, or C95400 of such purityand soundness as to be suitable for processing into the productsprescribed herein.6.1.2 In the event heat identification or traceability isrequired, the purchas
18、er shall specify the details desired.6.2 ManufactureThe product shall be manufactured bysuch casting methods to produce a uniform finished product.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The castings shall conform to the compositional require-ments for named elements shown in Table 1 for the CopperAlloy UNS Numb
19、ers specified in the purchase order.7.2 These specification limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. Limits may be established and analysisrequired for unnamed elements agreed upon between themanufacturer or supplier and the purchaser. Copper or zincmay be given as remainder and may be
20、taken as the differencebetween the sum of all elements analyzed and 100 %. When allnamed elements in Table 1 are analyzed, their sum shall be asspecified in Table 2.7.3 It is recognized that residual elements may be present incast copper base alloys. Analysis shall be made for residualelements only
21、when specified in the purchase order.8. Casting Repair8.1 The castings shall not be repaired, plugged, welded, orburned-in.9. Sampling9.1 Sampling shall be in accordance with the requirementsof Practice E255.10. Test Methods10.1 Analytical chemical methods are given in SpecificationB824 (Section 12)
22、.10.1.1 Test methods to be followed for the determination ofelements resulting from contractual or purchase order agree-ment shall be as agreed upon between the manufacturer orsupplier and the purchaser.11. Product Marking11.1 All castings shall have the manufacturers initial ortrademark, the patter
23、n number, and such other marks as areshown on the drawings cast on them. When serial numbers arespecified, each 100 castings, or fraction thereof, shall bear thesame serial number, commencing with the numeral one (1) atthe beginning of the year and continuing consecutively untilthe end of the year,
