3、 Scope1.1 This specification covers UNS N08925, UNS N08354,and UNS N089262seamless, cold-worked or hot-finished pipeand tube intended for general corrosive service.1.2 ASTM International has adopted definitions wherebysome grades, such as UNS N08904 previously in this specifi-cation, were recognized

4、 as stainless steels, because thosegrades have iron as the largest element by mass percent. Suchgrades are under the oversight of ASTM Committee A01 andits subcommittees. The products of N08904 previously coveredin this specification are now covered by Specifications A269and A312/A312M.1.3 The value

5、s stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. General Requirements4.1 Material furnished under this specification shall c

10、on-form to the requirements of Specification B829 unless other-wise provided herein. In the case of conflict, the requirementsof this specification shall take precedence.5. Ordering Information5.1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify allrequirements that are necessary for material or

Materials and Manufacture6.1 The material shall be supplied in the solution-treatedcondition.NOTE 1The recommended heat treatment shall consist of heat

18、ing to atemperature of 2010 to 2100F (1100 to 1150C) for UNS N08925 andUNS N08926, followed by quenching in water or rapid cooling by othermeans.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition prescribed in Table 1. One test isrequired for each lot

19、 as defined in Specification B829.7.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to the product (check)analysis variations per Specification B829.8. Mechanical Properties and Other Requirements8.1 Mechanical PropertiesThe material shall conform tothe mecha

20、nical properties prescribed in Table 2. One test isrequired for each lot as defined in Specification B829.8.2 Nondestructive Tests:Each pipe and tube shall be subjected to either a hydrostatictest or a nondestructive electric test as described in Specifica-tion B829. The purchaser may specify which

21、test is to be used.8.2.1 Hydrostatic Test:The fiber stress for the purpose of calculating the hydrostatictest pressure shall be 20 000 psi (138 Mpa).9.
