Scope1.1 This specification covers refined ruthenium as spongeand powder in one grade as follows:1.1.1 Grade 99.80Ruthenium having a purity of 99.80 %.1.1.

7、ning processthat yields a product capable of meeting the chemical require-ments of this specification. The purchaser, upon request, shallbe informed of the refining process used.4. Chemical Composition4.1 The material should conform to the requirements forchemical composition as prescribed in Table
8、1.4.2 Analysis shall be made using the manufacturers stan-dard methods. In the event of disagreement as to the chemicalcomposition of the metal, methods of chemical analysis forreference purposes shall be determined by a mutually accept-able laboratory.5. Sampling5.1 The value of this material is su
9、ch that special attentionmust be paid to the sampling procedures. The purchaser andmanufacturer shall agree upon the sampling procedures used.5.2 Lot SizeSampling lots shall consist of the following:5.2.1 SpongeA single refining lot.5.2.2 PowderA single refining lot.6. Rejection and Rehearing6.1 Mat
10、erial that fails to conform to the requirements of thisspecification may be rejected. Rejection should be reported tothe manufacturer or supplier promptly and in writing. In caseof dissatisfaction with the results of the test, the producer orsupplier may make claim for rehearing.6.2 Investigation of
11、 ClaimsIn a question of chemicalcomposition, a new sample shall be drawn by representativesof both parties in accordance with Section 5. The properlymixed and quartered sample shall be divided into three parts,each of which shall be placed in a sealed package, one for themanufacturer, one for the pu
12、rchaser, and one for an umpire, ifnecessary.6.3 In the event of disagreement between the manufacturerand the purchaser on the conformance of the metal to therequirements of this specification by the purchaser, the umpiresample is to be submitted to a mutually acceptable laboratoryfor analysis. The r
13、esults of the referees analysis shall be usedin determining conformance of the metal to this specification.7. Product Marking7.1 The material shall be legibly identified by mark, label,or tag with the following information: Ruthenium (Ru) Grade_, lot or melt number, and weight to the nearest 0.001 t
