Material and Manufacture6.1 Material:6.1.1 The material of manufa

11、cture shall be a cast bar, slab,cake, billet, etc. of Copper Alloy UNS No. C15100 of suchpurity and soundness as to be suitable for processing in to theproducts prescribed herein.1This specification is under the jurisdiction ofASTM Committee B05 on Copperand CopperAlloys and is the direct responsibi

14、9, United States.6.1.2 In the event heat identification or traceability isrequired, the purchaser shall specify the details desired.NOTE 1Due to the discontinuous nature of the processing of castingsinto wrought products, it is not always practical to identify a specificcasting analysis with a speci

15、fic quantity of finished material.6.2 Manufacture:6.2.1 The product shall be manufactured by such hotwork-ing, cold-working, and annealing processes as to produce auniform wrought structure in the finished product.6.2.2 The product shall be hot- or cold-worked to thefinished size and subsequently an

16、nealed, when required, tomeet the temper properties specified.6.3 Edges:6.3.1 Slit edges shall be furnished unless otherwise speci-fied in the contract or purchase order.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The product shall conform to the chemical compositionprescribed in Table 1.7.2 These composition limits

17、 do not preclude the presenceof other elements. Limits may be established and analysisrequired for unnamed elements by agreement between themanufacturer or supplier and the purchaser.7.3 When all elements listed in Table 1 are analyzed, thesum of results shall be 99.9 % minimum.8. Temper8.1 The temp

18、ers, as defined in Practice B 601, availableunder this specification are as designated in Table 2.9. Grain Size for Annealed Temper9.1 Grain size for OS015 temper product shall be as given inTable 2 when tested in accordance with Test Methods E112.10. Physical Property Requirements10.1 Electrical Re

19、sistivity Requirements:10.1.1 The product shall conform to the requirements ofTable 3 by temper when tested in accordance with Test MethodB 193.11. Mechanical Property Requirements11.1 Tensile Strength Requirements:11.1.1 Tempers H01, H02, H03, H04, H06, and H08 shallconform to the requirements pres

20、cribed in Table 2 when testedin accordance with Test Methods E8. Tensile strength shall bethe basis for acceptance or rejection of product in thesetempers.12. 23、ll Rounded Edges.13. Workmanship, Finish and Appearance13.1 The material shall be free of defects, but blemishes ofa nature that do not interfere with normal commercial opera-tions are acceptable. It shall be well-cleaned and free of dirt. Asuperficial film or residual light lubricant is normally pr

24、esentand is acceptable unless otherwise specified.13.2 The surface finish and appearance shall be the normalcommercial quality for the alloy, thickness, and temper or-dered. When application information is provided with purchaseorder, the surface shall be that commercially producible for theapplicat

Sampling14.1 SamplingThe lot size, portion size, and selection ofsample pieces shall be as follows:14.1.1 Lot Size40 000 lb (18 144 kg) or less material ofthe same mill for

29、m, temper, and thickness, subject to inspectionat one time.14.1.2 Portion SizeSample pieces shall be selected fromeight individual pieces, and shall be taken so as to berepresentative of those pieces. If the lot consists of less thaneight pieces, a sample shall be taken from each individualpiece.14.

30、2 Chemical Analysis:14.2.1 The sample for chemical analysis shall be taken inaccordance with Practice E 255 for product in its final formtaken from the pieces selected in 14.1.2 and combined into onecomposite sample. The minimum weight of the compositesample shall be 150 g.14.2.2 Instead of sampling

31、 as directed in 14.2.1, the manu-facturer shall have the option of sampling at the time thecastings are poured or samples taken from the semifinishedproduct. If the manufacturer determines the chemical compo-sition of the material during the course of manufacture, he shallnot be required to sample a

32、nd analyze the finished product.14.2.2.1 When samples are taken at the time the castings arepoured, at least one sample shall be taken from each group ofcastings poured from the same source of molten metal.14.2.2.2 When samples are taken from semifinished prod-uct, a sample shall be taken to represe

33、nt each 10 000 lbs (5 000kg) or fraction thereof, except that no more than one sampleshall be required per piece.14.2.2.3 Only one sample need be taken from the semifin-ished product of one cast bar from a single melt chargecontinuously processed.14.3 Samples for all Other TestsSamples for all other

34、 testsshall be taken from the sample portions selected in 14.1.2 andbe of an convenient size to accommodated the test and complywith the requirements of the appropriate product specificationand test method.15. Number of Tests and Retests15.1 Tests15.1.1 Chemical Requirements:15.1.2 When samples are

35、taken at the time the castings arepoured, at least one sample shall be analyzed for each group ofcastings poured simultaneously from the same source ofmolten metal.15.1.3 When samples are taken from the semifinished orfinished product, at least one sample representative of theproduct of each cast ba

36、r from a single melt charge continuouslyprocessed with heat identity maintained shall be analyzed.15.2 Mechanical Properties and Grain SizeUnless other-wise provided in the product specification, test specimens shallbe taken from two of the sample pieces selected in accordancewith 14.1.2. The requir

37、ed tests shall be made on each of thespecimens so selected.15.3 Other TestsFor other tests, test specimens shall betaken from four of the sample pieces selected in accordancewith 14.1.2. The required tests shall be made on each of thespecimens so selected.15.4 Retests:15.4.1 If the chemical analysis

38、 of the specimens preparedfrom samples selected in accordance with 14.1.2 fails toconform to the specified limits, analysis shall be made on anew composite sample prepared from the pieces selected inaccordance with 14.1.2.15.4.2 If one of the two tests made to determine any of themechanical or grain

39、 size requirements fails to meet a specifiedlimit, this test shall be repeated on the remaining pieces,maximum of two, selected in accordance with 14.1.2, and theresults of both of these tests shall comply with the specifiedrequirements.15.4.3 If any test specimen shows defective machining ordevelop

40、s flaws, it may be discarded and another specimensubstituted.15.5 Chemical Analysis, shall be determined as the averageof at least two replicate determinations for each elementspecified.16. Specimen Preparation16.1 In the grain size test, all specimens shall be prepared asspecified in Method E3.16.2

41、 In the tension test, all strip less than34 in. wide shall bepulled in full size when practicable. Machined test specimensshall be as specified in Test Method E8, Fig. 1 for sheet typespecimens.16.3 Chemical CompositionThe composite sample forlaboratory analysis shall, in case of disagreement, be pr

42、eparedin accordance with Practice E 255.17. Significance of Numerical Limits18.1 For purposes of determining compliance with thespecified property lim

Inspection19.1 The manufacture shall inspect and make the testnecessary

46、 to verify that the product furnished conforms to therequirements of this specification.19.2 If, in addition, source inspection of the material by thepurchaser is agreed upon by the manufacturer and the pur-chaser as part of the purchase contract, the nature of thefacilities needed to satisfy the in

47、spector representing thepurchaser that the product is being furnished in accordancewith this specification shall be included in the agreement. Alltests and the inspection shall be conducted so as not to interfereunnecessarily with the operation of the works.19.3 The manufacturer and the purchaser, b

48、y mutual agree-ment, may accomplish the final inspection simultaneously.20. Rejection and Rehearing20.1 Rejection:20.1.1 Product that fails to conform to the specified require-ments when inspected or tested by the purchaser or his agentmay be rejected.20.1.2 Rejection should be reported to the manuf

49、acturer orsupplier promptly and in writing.20.1.3 In case of dissatisfaction with the results of the test,the manufacturer or supplier may make claim for a rehearing.20.2 RehearingAs a result of product rejection, the manu-facturer or supplier may make a claim for a retest to beconducted by the manufacturer or supplier and the purchaser.Samples of the rejected product shall be taken in accordancewith this product specification and subjected to test by bothparties using the test method(s) specified in this productspecification, or alternatively, upon agreement of bot
