Scope*1.1 This specification covers aluminum-alloy castings, pro-duced by the

3、thixocast, rheocast, semi-solid, and squeezecasting processes shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is for aluminum-alloy squeezecastings, and semi-solid Thixocast and Rheocast castings usedin general purpose applications. It may not address the me-chanical properties, integrity testing, and verif

4、ication requiredfor highly loaded or safety critical applications.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1/H35.1 (M).1.4 Unless the order specifies the “M” specificationdesignation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-poundunits.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclu

5、sion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification,see Annex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, eachsystem shal
