Significance and Use4.1 This test method provides a means of determining thecompressive strength of hydraulic cement and other mortarsand results may be used to

17、determine compliance with speci-fications. Further, this test method is referenced by numerousother specifications and test methods. Caution must be exer-cised in using the results of this test method to predict thestrength of concretes.5. Apparatus5.1 Weights and Weighing Devices, shall conform to

18、therequirements of Specification C1005. The weighing deviceshall be evaluated for precision and accuracy at a total load of2000 g.5.2 Glass Graduates, of suitable capacities (preferably largeenough to measure the mixing water in a single operation) todeliver the indicated volume at 20 C. The permiss

These graduates shall be subdivided to atleast 5 mL, except that the graduation lines may be omitted forthe lowest 10 mL for a 250-mL graduate and for the lowest 25mL of a 500-mL graduate. The main graduation lines shall becircles and shall be numbered. The least grad

The molds shall have not more thanthree cube compartments and shall be separabl

If the load applied bythe compression machine is registered on a dial, the dial shallbe provided with a graduated scale that can be read to at leastthe nearest 0.1 % of the full scale load (Note 2). The dial shallbe readable within 1 % of the indicat
