1、Designation: C 1440 03Standard Specification forThermoplastic Elastomeric (TPE) Gasket Materials for Drain,Waste, and Vent (DWV), Sewer, Sanitary and StormPlumbing Systems1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 1440; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year
2、oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers thermoplastic elastomeric(TPE)
3、 gasket materials for preformed elastomeric gaskets usedin shielded and non-shielded mechanical couplings. Thesecouplings are used in gravity flow drain, waste and vent(DWV), sewer, sanitary and storm plumbing systems. Theyinclude couplings to join similar and dissimilar piping sizesand material.1.2
4、 The values stated in metric or inch/pound units shall beregarded separately as normative for this specification. Thevalues in each system are not exact equivalents; therefore, eachsystem shall be used independently without combining values.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesaf
