This lengthis used in conjunction with length to diameter relationships,condition surveys, absorption, density and void

Itdoes not meet requirements for determining the distancebetween two parallel surfaces, which represents the thicknessof a structural element often used to establish compliance withdesign specifications as outlined by Test Meth
