7、ication.4. Classification4.1 AAC masonry units manufactured in accordance withthis specification shall be classified according to their strengthclass.5. Materials and Manufacture5.1 AAC masonry units manufactured in accordance withthis specification shall be composed entirely of AAC materialconformi

Physical Requirements6.1 Compressive StrengthThe compressive strength of theunits shall be determined according to Specification C1693 andshall conform to the requirements of Specification C1693 forthe strength class in which the units are classified.6.2 Dry Bulk Density
9、The dry bulk density shall be deter-mined according to Specification C1693 and shall conform tothe requirements of Specification C1693 for the strength classin which the units are classified.6.3 Drying ShrinkageThe drying shrinkage shall be deter-mined in accordance with Specification C1693 and shal
10、lconform to the requirements of Specification C1693 for thestrength class in which the units are specified.7. Dimensions and Permissible Variations7.1 The specified dimensions of the units shall be estab-lished by the AAC unit manufacturer.7.2 No overall unit dimension (width, height, or length)shal
11、l differ by more than18 in. (3 mm) from the correspondingspecified dimension8. Visual Inspection8.1 All units shall be sound and free of defects that wouldinterfere with the proper placing of the unit or impair thestrength or permanence of the construction. Minor imperfec-tions incidental to the usu

16、1 The purchaser or the authorized representative shall beaccorded proper facilities to inspect and sample the units at theplace of manufacture from the lots ready for delivery.10. Rejection and Rehearing10.1 If the shipment fails to conform to the specificrequirements, the manufacturer shall be perm
17、itted to sort it, andnew specimens shall be selected by the purchaser from theretained lot and tested. If the second set of specimens fails toconform to the test requirements, the entire lot shall berejected.NOTE 1Unless otherwise specified in the purchase order, the cost oftests is typically borne
